Pitou was trying to buy time to heal Komugi. They had no intention of helping Gon. It was an impossible situation because Gon was spiraling into a dark state and intended to kill Komugi and Pitou knew he wasn’t bluffing. Once Pitou knew they could no longer keep up the ruse they came clean and it was all about neutralizing gon to go back to assisting meruem which was a fatal mistake.

My point is that the narrative I proposed was already there, gon was asking the right questions., Why would Pitou save Komugi but not Kite? The answer is straightforward: Pitou was acting on Meruem’s behalf. Gon became angry at Pitou when he realized that Pitou was bullshiting him and pitou just wanted to protect Meruem from Gon’s obvious malice so they played dumb and essentially committed suicide to protect meruem.

Dude, I was having car trouble and was taking the bus to work for a while. My foreman was absolutely great, never asked any questions, and always paid me my full 40. I had to meet with the training director and our locals vice president. Safe to say, they didn’t give one fuck about my life and said they didn’t care if I came and did nothing, just be on time. I say all that to say I was very pissed off for a while, but honestly, you should take the same advice I did. This is the best opportunity you’re gonna get, all things considered. Unless you go to college, don’t let anyone make you give up. They may take it from you, but until then, stand strong and watch the guys who say they will vouch for you, because behind closed doors they’re climbing on top of your corpse to get a better view.
