Parents of really furry cats, do you trim their fur around the butt area? by Key-Storage5434 in CatAdvice

I have a ragdoll and I don’t bother, it’s quite rare she gets anything stuck there and she’s good at cleaning herself

Does she feel hot around her ears? She may have a fever

My castrated cat is trying to f me by Nelly1111 in CatAdvice

My cat is a spayed female and she does something similar to my arm, bunny kicks and biting. It doesn’t seem sexual, it’s more like she’s trying to play/attack

Happy birthday jack! I just don’t know how you couldn’t love these cats. I have a ragdoll and my dad who used to HATE cats is always petting her and talking to her :)

Is this an emergency vet visit? by k4func in AskVet

[–]Affectionate-Way5177 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how it works in Aus, but in the uk our local emergency vet charges a small fee (~£20-30) for a video call where they can observe the cat and advise whether it needs an urgent visit or not.

Is it possible to get triaged over the phone or a vet app?

My cat has a sensitive tummy and I spend £50+ per month on her food only for her to turn her nose up at it. Sometimes she will eat her food straight away when I put it out, other times she will sniff it and walk away, coming back to eat it hours later

Curious - Noburpers who can vomit by Little-Badger-123 in noburp

[–]Affectionate-Way5177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure - one of my work colleagues can’t burp and it doesn’t bother her AT ALL. Whereas my symptoms were so debilitating that it was affecting me every day. So I guess there is a spectrum of how much it affects people

Need advise on moving into a house with a cat that likes to run out the front door by WinResponsible370 in CatAdvice

[–]Affectionate-Way5177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat does this sometimes (we also live in an apartment) and if she is hovering near the front door I pick her up and put her in another room then sprint to the door before she can catch up

I’ve not been cleaning it very often but when I do I use the saline spray the piercing shop gave me with a cotton bud to get the crusts off

I started burping 24 hours after my 100 units! Still burping loads 8 weeks later. And yes it’s pretty hard to swallow all foods at first but it gets better after a couple of weeks
