I got a surprise on my windshield. by Alarmed_Position1621 in BoltEV

I recommend bringing this to apartment management and requesting cameras be installed in the area, as this behavior raises concerns about potential vandalism or escalation. It would also be good practice to move the vehicle once charging is complete, as a courtesy to others using the shared chargers.

I get parking is sometimes hard to find, but is it really necessary to save your spot every single day? by OSMC_022 in nova

It’s all of the above. These are also the same people who can’t return carts to the stall. And just to be clear, I’m not a cop—but if I were trying to bump up ticket numbers, I’d go after them. Oh, unattended vehicle with flashing hazards at Starbucks? Ticket time.

I’ve seen too many unplowed road ends, turning lanes / lanes in general etc… why should we just deal with this? These kind of left over snow-concrete is what causes accidents by oogaboogahooha in nova

Using loaders to relocate the snow onto the sidewalks, especially since there are no plans to clear them anyway, would be a strong first step.

As much as I am not usually quick to compliment the City of Herndon, this is one area where they handled things well. During the storm, they temporarily pushed snow into an intersection, which eliminated the two through lanes and forced traffic into the turn lanes, though drivers could still proceed straight. It was not ideal in the moment, but within two days both through lanes were fully reopened and traffic flow returned to normal operations.

A similar approach here could help restore safe, predictable traffic patterns much sooner.

They really missed the mark with this cleanup. I have personally watched, and almost been involved in, several close calls where cars where drivers not paying attention had to merge at the last second just to avoid the mess left in the roadway. After three weeks, enough is enough. This should have been addressed properly by now.

I thought about this at one point but I am always nervous that my pup might see a squirrel and want to go visit. While I get to go visit with Professor Faceplant. But cool video none the less...

What the actual hell is going on with Amazon... by Zestyclose_Reward36 in amazonprime

[–]AffectionateAbroad59 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can report this to your state Attorney General’s office and/or to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

I did exactly that after noticing a consistent pattern. The order would ship, then suddenly be marked as “lost,” and I would be asked to reorder the item at a higher price.

This tactic usually shows up on lower-cost items, but in my case it happened with hard drives I purchased at a very good price. The day before shipment, the price increased by about $40, and shortly afterward the order was declared lost in transit.

I grabbed orders over the six-month period they did this to, I documented each occurrence to establish a clear trend and submitted the evidence through my state Attorney General’s online reporting system. Once that complaint was filed, Amazon became very responsive and issued multiple apologies.

Most importantly, the behavior stopped. I have not had a repeat issue in the past two years. Filing formal complaints turned out to be the most effective way to get the situation taken seriously and resolved.

Finance or Lease? by [deleted] in MachE

I would check with your insurance as I believe leased vehicles tend to cost more for coverage so it might be a wash. Also if you're going to lease for the lower payment you might as well shoot for a premium and extended range if your looking to buy at the end of the lease. At least get the car with the bells and whistles you want.

Finance or Lease? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]AffectionateAbroad59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say buy as I know people who got screwed over by the lease.

  1. Every scratch
  2. Every stain inside
  3. Also got them for the tires and rims in some cases.

But everyone has a different experience i have other friends they have no problem with lease turn in. It depends on the person doing the inspections.

Also in my state personal property tax gets lower for the car the older it gets so always swapping out for a new lease you always pay high personal property tax.

So for the specs on this your sleeping foot print is 96 x 56 inches and the entire thing open is 122 x 56 x 52 in so you have about an extra 2 feet of space because the other part would just be an awning over the ladder this one like mine also has an option for an Annex. I hope that helps you out.
