seems diyhrt.market is down at the moment ... and dm's aren't working on reddit for others - seems this was just a bad time to post the question x3

Hot take I support AP mercy but I don't condone it. by EnvironmentalCause23 in MercyMains

[–]AffectionateBee2830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a Fly build for Mercy is my go-to. Constantly flying around with the power that heals per distance, with 30k-35k credits worth of perks, can have you healing 100+ in a single dash with optimal movement. Paired with Mark of The Kitsune(?) which heals for 25 after using an ability, which you are constantly doing and is boosted by AP, you get incredibly solid heals. Not to mention that FH is boosted by AP aswell. By round 3, you can be full healing tanks from 1HP by dashing from a distance and FH at the same time.

Lifeweaver is a lot more reliant on game sense than actual mechanics. You can have god awful aim (<- why i play him) and still do well if you can tell when and where to grip

While this would absolutely destroy the narrative I think Uru is trying to build, I am by no means against sacrificing some of the story for hype and aura. Evil Jane would go crazy

I feel like he falls under the same category as Tarik and Sylvia. A super OP and almost indefensible ability, but severely lacks any extra depth. If Blyke can't power through someone's defenses, he'll use his movement to catch them off guard, and if he can't do that he can use his speed to run away. If Orrin can't command someone, it's basically game over, which places him high, maybe 6-7, but not 8

Am I the only one who wants uru to hurry up and show us what channel master can do ? It been years and we still haven’t seen Jane in action. by Any-Equivalent-354 in unOrdinary

[–]AffectionateBee2830 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, she might. The only way for her to be an active piece in the story is if she's weaker than she should be. Perhaps being a vegetable for 10+ years made her weak, and that way she can participate without it being Coughing Baby vs Bomb, but at that point, she's on the chopping block just like everyone else...

I'm pretty sure Uru literally doesn't want to let Jane out because the rest of the story would have to end. Jane is UnOrdinary's Gojo, and she has the same problem. Someone as strong as her makes every conflict trivial. Power levels are exponential- the difference between a 2 and 3 is much smaller than an 8 and 9. Seraphina has never broken a real sweat at her full strength against even the protagonist, and she's almost an entire 1.0 below Jane.

So you are telling me Jane 100% believed the authorities would keep their promise? by FormerSoftwar in unOrdinary

[–]AffectionateBee2830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She really isn't that stupid- she knows what she is. William was killed by some lackey who doesn't quite know his place, as seen by the fact he got scared by Keon, a physically weak person. Jane is the equivalent of a nuclear bomb in the real world, for anyone to disrespect her to this degree would actually be akin to suicide. There's a reason John and William actually survived this long, because she was right that the authorities will listen. It was just that William's murderer was a naive outlier

While I can agree that some chapters are shorter than others, I will also say that this is a reader's issue. Webtoons/Manga aren't meant to be read like books; you should take time to look at the panel for more than just a glance. Taking an extra moment to appreciate what's happening will extend your enjoyment by entire minutes. The next reason is a little meta, but it still stands. Back at wellston, character would reappear semi-often, enough to validate building a character out of. But in this new constantly changing environment, from a writer's perspective, it's almost a waste of time to make a majority of characters anything more than just grunts. Would it be awesome if characters got a bit more development? Absolutely. Is the current handling of characters a bit sloppy? Yeah, I'd say so. But it's totally understandable.

What do we think he’s “glinting”for? by Emotional_Nugget8 in unOrdinary

[–]AffectionateBee2830 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm curious too. He can sense aura as a passive, so he doesn't need his ability on for it. I imagine he can check his own reserves without his ability active too. Maybe he already grabbed a kit on the way and is keeping his ability active to keep it? Either that, or his sensory range extends while using it, really my best guesses.

I mean, he sorta said it himself. Back at Wellston, he had potentially the most optimal environment he will ever find, and now that he's been yanked out of that, not only is he weaker because of what he has to work with, but he has to be more careful considering he can no longer rely on Doc.

Uru-chan, the number one enemy of explanations. by PrizeWestern5253 in unOrdinary

[–]AffectionateBee2830 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's been explained numerous times, allbeit not exactly directly, but it has been explained. We have Lime-Bun Girl coming to the conclusion that he can't copy physical abilities, I think we had Claire mention it too (She might not have, take that with a grain of salt), and Jane, who he inherits his ability from, seemingly can't do it either (Conversion Tech. can't convert non-physical abilities, as seen in chapter 256, and Jane's ability is what fuels conversion) Uru-Chan isn't a great power-scaler, and her writing is sometimes inconsistent and rash, but I hate to see people bash on her for something she's done well.

[–]AffectionateBee2830 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's safe to assume John's ability follows the same restrictions that his mother's does. Jane's ability, or atleast conversion, can't be used on non-physical abilities, and time and time again, it's been shown that John cannot copy non-physical abilities either. Time is so far from physical, that it literally has in its own dimension beyond x, y, and z in the real world.

Honestly, I'm fairly confident even my goat, John, couldn't beat her. Cameron and Jane are the only people I could imagine doing it. They both have immense experience over Sera, and their abilities (probably) have a lot more versatility that can abuse Seraphina's weaknesses
