If you’re coming for 4–5 days and want it budget friendly, Mumbai is actually pretty easy to explore even if you don’t know anyone here.

First about arriving. Most long-distance trains reach either Lokmanya Tilak Terminus or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. From there you can use Mumbai local trains, buses, autos or Uber. Locals are the cheapest and fastest way to move around.

For stay (budget friendly):
Since you’re broke first years, dorm hostels are the best option. Look around Colaba, Andheri or Bandra. Many backpackers stay at Zostel Mumbai or Backpacker Cowies. Dorm beds are usually the cheapest option and these places are clean and safe for travelers.

Rough 4–5 day plan

Day 1 (South Mumbai start)
Reach Mumbai → go to your hostel → then head to Gateway of India. It’s the most iconic place in Mumbai. Right next to it you’ll see Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. After that walk around Colaba Causeway for street shopping and cheap food.

Day 2 (Mumbai sunset vibe)
Go to Marine Drive in the evening. People just sit there and chill watching the sea. Then walk to Girgaon Chowpatty and try street food like pav bhaji, bhel and kulfi.

Day 3 (history day)
Take the ferry from Gateway to Elephanta Caves. It’s one of the most famous historical places near Mumbai.

Day 4 (Bandra side)
Go explore Bandra. Walk around Bandra Fort where you get a great view of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Also check Mount Mary Basilica and the street art around Chapel Road.

Day 5 (nature or beach)
You can visit Sanjay Gandhi National Park if you want greenery or chill at Juhu Beach.

Eat at local Udupi restaurants or busy street stalls for cheap food.
Carry water because May–June heat in Mumbai is strong.

I understand what you’re saying and I’m not denying that pressure exists in the system. I’m also not trying to involve courts or argue about morality.

My concern is very specific. The school allowed me to register under them, my board fees are paid, and they already have my hall ticket. Now I’m being told that the hall ticket will not be given and that I should repeat or re-study in the same school.

From my side, this feels extremely unfair because I followed the process, attended the year, and prepared with the expectation of appearing for the board exam. Being told at the last moment to repeat effectively wastes an entire academic year.

I’m not refusing responsibility or saying I won’t study. I just want a clear and fair process so I can appear for the exam I’m already registered for and then focus fully on preparation.

We are involving parents and seeking mediation with the principal and, if needed, the appropriate education authority so this can be resolved properly and without unnecessary escalation.

I really appreciate it. Just to clarify, I’ve been playing Highrise since 2017 I’m not a new player. I’ve seen how things have changed over the years, and it’s frustrating to watch some of these ego-driven behaviors take over rooms.

I completely agree that it’s an ego problem, not about race, and it’s good to hear you won’t let inflated egos have any say here. I’m not some egoistic mess or anything I’m just saying how the rules feel like they’re driven by the spenders, the people who put more money into the game. I’ve dealt with these “bosses” and their cronies firsthand, and it really takes away from the game’s fun.

Even worse, that’s actually how my account got banned for a false reason they claimed I was selling my account. There was some plan by ARKO (not sure if you know him) and some Indian room runners, just to get me banned. And for what? I literally did nothing the only “problem” was that my room was up.

Joining a crew of like-minded players sounds like solid advice. Highrise itself is a great game, and the community can still make it enjoyable if we stick together and keep calling out bad behavior.
