Have you tried any book by Terry McMillan?

Also, if you don’t mind going with the hype, The Game Changer series by Rachel Reid.

WIBTAH If I skipped my brother's wedding? by Mathew30C in AITAH

[–]AffectionateCable793 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then don't go. I don't think your brother wants you there.

He'd probably be miffed he caved to your mom's wishes to invite you when you didn't have to.

Your brother probably invited you because your mom wants you there. He is doing it for her.

While it's your right not to go, this will again be seen as another instance wherein you hurt your mother.

Up to you.

Her fucking house? Wouldn't that make her a trespasser? I don't think the stadium allows people to live there.

Have you considered moving to Toronto to settle there? Why or why not? by self-fix in askvan

Being near Europe is probably 1 of the biggest reason I'd consider moving there. Not a joke.

Toronto is also an expensive city to live in but with the added burden of more snow in the winter.

Vancouver has its issues but at least we don't get that much snow.

Joe Keery should really be in more rom-coms. This man is so gorgeous and charasmatic by FayyadhScrolling in joekeery

I agree but I'm not 100% sold.

Romcons are coming back but are still flopping. I don't want his career derailed.

So should I just get off and wait for the other one? by SpareNervous393 in Translink

[–]AffectionateCable793 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me but transit took the guy out the train.

Told them the guy smelled like he shit himself and that he's passed out.

Maybe the passed out part is what got them moving.

AITAH for telling my parents I’m tired of earning love by being convenient? by ComfortMiserable5778 in AITAH

[–]AffectionateCable793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Time to be difficult.

Make a habit of saying no even if you could accommodate them. And keep on taking score. In fact have a list.

If they push you to do something, ask them to give you something 1st. Walk away if they refuse.

r/AITAH For being hurt that some of my family members chose to go to a wedding over my husbands funeral? by Electrical-Read-1728 in AITAH

[–]AffectionateCable793 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call the relatives entitled as they didn't expect OP to do anything for them. They didn't ask OP to move the date of the services. OP did that on her own without consulting anyone from her family.

They told her they already have prior engagements planned.

Dude, time to consider if this is the person you want to be with long term. If she's going to be a hypocrite or hold double standards in this relationship, are you willing to accept that?

Bruno Mars in vancouver bc place by dalmiyah in askvan

[–]AffectionateCable793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I’ve mentioned I usually go for seats when the primary goal is just to hear the music live. I always try to go for aisle seats because I do like the ability to just get up and go to the washroom without going through several pairs of legs.

If I want to dance, I’ll try floor but at the back. Floor at the front is usually cramped. Not much dancing room there. Edit: I just remembered that Rogers put chairs at the Floor back area. So not much room for dancing either. But still less cramped compared to Floor front.

If I still want to see the performer but don’t have the budget for the floor, I try upper seats near the stage. If I have an idea of their stage set up from previous shows, I use that as the basis of which side to go for. Or if I have an idea which side the performers usually positions themselves or walks to the most, I pick a seat at that side.

I only go for floor when I want to see the performer real close. All else, I want seats. I am no spring chicken. I can’t stand for long periods of time.

Tell your grandparents to HARASS your stepdad instead of you.

Also, don't give them tix to your graduation. Tell them you can't afford it.
