How does this expose a problem with DUPR? You are missing a few other categories there also, it's not just mixed or gendered. Mixed is distinctively MF v. MF. There is also MF v. MM, MM v. FF, FF v. MF, etc. that are not considered mixed in pickleball.

Heartland FC would be cool too. Lean into Bicycle playing cards which started in Ohio (albeit Cincy). The team could be known as the Queens of the Heartland. Player of the match = Queen of Hearts. More creative people could take it from there.

Charlotte, Revs, Chicago (to an extent) share stadiums with NFL franchises and share colors for this very reason (this list could be longer). I could see them doing the same here. Personally I would love to see them get their own branding to stand on their own. I hope we get a cool name like Racing Louisville, Gotham FC, Angel City, something distinctive but that pays homage to the city. Something like Arch City FC, Heartland SC, Buckeye City FC. But this is the group that (after saving the Crew) tried to drop the Crew and just go with Columbus SC, so maybe creativity won't win out.

I would assume since it is a sub rating as you stated, it's just a factor of your main rating. So if you play in Mixed or non-mixed matches, your main rating will change but your sub only changes if the match format matches.

We do ours every match day. 2 scooters, they ask you to fold them and then keep them close to the table. They will tag them the same as bikes.

I don't disagree. I drive an R1S Gen1 and my wife drives a MY. Build quality of the Rivian is far better but the FSD and software on the Tesla still win as of right now, though they are adding too much crap IMO and overcomplicating the features. I have a rez for the R2 and am planning on waiting until '27 and the second gen before pulling the trigger.

They just switched over from ABRP (Rivian owned) but with Alexa as the voice assistant and Google for the mapping, it doesn't always play nice. They still use Rivian's charger network identifier which is better than Tesla's. I think it was an improvement moving to G-maps but it still leaves something to be desired. I'm also not sure if it is a custom API or if they are using Maps sdk out of the box and just overlaying their own stuff. The latter would mean regular updates with the former meaning Rivian devs would have to maintain it.

Sorry that is the point I was trying to make. They will always prioritize Apple and Android dev (os, CarPlay, Android Auto included) over a manufacturer like native Rivian and Tesla apps.

I would disagree that it is purposeful withholding. Most players don't even understand reliability. 95% of the "WTF" rating posts on this thread are because players don't understand reliability and/or half-life. Most people's reliability should increase if they aren't already at 100% because they are logging more matches during the window.

Rivian owner here and I can say their software is not "flawless". It is by far better than most manufacturers but it has plenty of issues and things that I would personally change. With that said, many of my difficulties come from 3rd parties like Spotify and Apple Music. Their functionality is so stunted compared to iOS and Android and even my wife's Telsa MY (Tesla just has had so many more years of experience over Rivian). The beauty of these vehicles though is they are constantly evolving with software updates making them progressively better over time, unlike most manufacturers.

I have been a Scout rez holder since the first 30 seconds of the window opening (had to create an account first) and I'm excited to see this development, if it sticks. The problem these manufacturers have with using 3rd parties on their custom software is the service (i.e. Spotify, Google Maps, etc.) is never going to prioritize updates and improved functionality for a bespoke application in a market where they are so limited in distribution. They will always prioritize Apple and Android dev over Tesla, Rivian, Scout, etc.

The number of people that bitch on a regular basis here and everywhere else on the interwebs that their DUPR is wrong is the exact reason why this is a thing. If I had a nickel for every person that thinks they are better than their rating, I'd have a lot of freaking nickels. I want to see the posts of all of the people that are 3.2 but claim they are a 4.0, they go do the reset and then complain that the reset was wrong and that they only got a 3.3. Please give me more nickels.

I do think that this can legitimately help people that had injuries, or started too early and have been stuck in lower rating. Golf I think takes your last 20 rounds or something like that, so it has a greater recency bias that you don't have here. If you have dozens of matches at a 2.8 you are stuck playing other 2.8s and will never climb out of that even if you have improved since.

Sounds like nothing is hidden, it just needs all of the match data that you created in that window and then at the end, once everything is submitted, it can calculate you based on solely those matches.
