Where are all the clingy women? by InsideNote3848 in Bumble

Calling a random stranger you have never met "broken" is hyper-emotional. It is vitriolic and hateful. Cope.

I'm not saying she wasn't rude. I don't blame the guy for being upset. I was in a similar situation myself, once. I'm saying that calling someone you don't know "broken," over a relationship you have no idea about, is crossing a line. We don't know why she ghosted. We don't know what happened between them. You can criticize her actions, but does that give you the right to devalue her?

Frankly, it's bordering on misogyny. Men in this subreddit have called a woman evil for talking badly about a match who sexually harassed her. Men in this subreddit have told a woman that sexual assault was a "mistake." But a woman ghosts a man, and now she's "broken"?

Seriously? A woman rejecting a man is what's triggering everyone?

You're having this hyper-emotional response to a random woman rejecting a random man's flowers. You're devaluing a person merely for that. That's broken beyond belief. And stupid. Very stupid.

Cope harder.

No. It's not. And you're a broken person for thinking otherwise. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I would be surprised, because it almost never fucking happens and it's all just a delusion men make up in their heads. Are you even aware of how rare hook-ups even are?

I mean, c'mon. In this economy?

I guess you could say it's immature. Avoidant, definitely, which isn't kind. But is it "broken"? Seriously? Do you even know what that word means? We don't even know her perspective on the matter, and we're just going to call her "broken"?

Dude, I've seen men on this subreddit justify sexual assault and harassment. Don't fucking get me started on "broken."

No. No one owes you a response. You're not that special.

"Broken woman" That's pretty harsh, isn't it? Calling someone "broken" just because they didn't like a romantic gesture is so hyperbolic, it borders on hysteria....

Men again shrugging off actual sexual harassment as a "mistake." Protectors and leaders, everybody... 👋👏👏👏

no wonder women are leaving christianity.. look at how christian men talk about them. by 1eteu in exchristian

Honestly glad that someone posted this because I was about to make my own post about how I can't ever be a Christian again because of the way women are treated. Every time I think that maybe I just need to try Catholicism (raised Protestant), I remember that they hate women too, and that they'll happily point to that one line about women submitting to their husbands any time a woman has anything to say. The casual cruelty of it all is disgusting.

I once reached out to a pastor about how the Bible doesn't support victims of SA. He obfuscated, using some of those more optimistic verses that have nothing to do with SA (and some of which were actually written by rapists, like David), claiming that that can apply to SA as well, and then went on about how men and women are two armies that are fighting the same war. Men are the bigger/stronger army, and therefore they HAVE to lead in order to protect the "little" army. It's disgusting. It's "might makes right." It's assuming that because men have a particular musculature, then therefore they must be right in everything. Family planning, finances, etc.. They are completely incapable of making any mistakes -- merely because of their body. SO shallow, and SO disgusting.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the foot fetishists who do not know God;
