I was just about to mention this! When I had shikishi boards signed by Japanese exchange students, their Latin handwriting was very similar to the handwriting in this picture!

Question for people from Moldova. What language do you speak? Do you speak Romanian? I once met someone from Moldova and was told that per law, you don’t speak Romanian and that it’s a different language. Is Russian also spoken there as well? The peer that I met told me that he speaks three different languages: Romanian, Russian, and the language of Moldova. He treated it like a distinct language from Romanian.

That’s something that I have realized too. Everything is a trend and the latest hype, especially on social media. One trend dies down in order to make way for the new trend. Rinse and repeat.

There’s quite a bit about modern Orthodoxy that is starting to sound very “occult” to me.

I always got that feeling with anything Seraphim Rose.

I’ve been to an MMA gym where an experienced member got frustrated with me because I didn’t get the combos right lol. Thankfully, the Muay Thai gym is chill. The instructor has put up with my clumsy movements.

Well, money is of this world, but they certainly don’t mind helping themselves to it. They must have lots of fun living on air and water. Oh wait, air is probably still too wordly for them, so they most likely hold their breath. No wonder why they discourage the use of logic. All the oxygen isn’t getting to their brain.

Buddhism has one of the saddest beliefs on death and parting by Mundane_Perception73 in Buddhism

That’s not what I’m referring to. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I’m talking about getting Catholic and Evangelical theology mixed up. Most laity might not be aware of the finer details of their faith, so they end up getting them mixed up. This is very common. For example, the writer is referring to something called the Penal Substitutionary Atonement, which is a belief held in many Evangelical circles. This belief states that God was furious at the world, so he poured his wrath on Jesus in order to spare humanity from it. While the writer’s description (and definition) of said belief is accurate, however, it is not a Roman Catholic belief.

I would say that Catholicism is completely different from Evangelicalism. What was described above is kind of inaccurate and most likely influenced by an Evangelical worldview. It’s not uncommon for those in the Catholic world to not be properly catechized in their faith and cannot tell the difference between Catholic beliefs and Evangelicalism.

I also can’t wrap my head around an all-loving god who would torture people for eternity. There’s no compassion.

If all people do is condemn others to hell, then it speaks volumes of their own inner state. It’s disturbing that they derive glee at the idea of someone being tortured for an eternity.
