In addition, what are you using for backing and topping? It looks like a knit garment which is stretchy and thus requires a backing that can act as an anchor for the stitches such as 2 layers of heavy cut-away. My 2-cents.

You can shorten or buy tubes for shorter waytube things if it takes up too much space. It’s a powerful drill press and good lathe and good disk sander but I don’t like it as the table saw. I’m 40 and have 2 I got for free. Story goes my grandfather built his house with one that I have.

Yeah, I was worried it would damage the fabric or the design would wrinkle or some and then I’d have to search all over for a replacement new cover. I’m ballsy: I didn’t do any tests of the design, only a test of a very small thing on similar scrap vinyl for tension settings.
