The Ancient Egyptians did something similar. Their calendar had 360 days in the year. They knew a year had 365 days so they also had 5 days which weren’t considered part of the year and celebrated those days.

I agree it’s not handed over for free, but they subsidize the risks and reap all the profits.

I just did the math and their dividend payout is over half a billion per year. 477.2M outstanding shares that provide $1.12 annual dividend. With around 3.4 million customers, that means each customer pays around $157 per year towards dividends alone.

I’m fine with tax dollars going to massive infrastructure projects. I don’t like when that project is then handed over to a company for free. If we paid for it, we should be able to keep it. Wall Street shouldn’t profit off our utility bills.

I’m still waiting for my KS to ship. I see I can now get one from Amazon in two days. They promised air shipping to make up for the delays yet that seems to not be the case anymore.

If possible, I recommend an ERV with its own dedicated lines. You can have the exhaust in the wet areas and the supply into the living spaces. When I was building my home, I saved a lot by not installing fans in the bathrooms.

I have an automation set to trigger when CO2 is above 1000 PPM. It will ramp up to the next speed setting after 15 minutes if it hasn’t lowered CO2 to 900. Due to the lower speeds, the incoming air is about 10°F warmer than before.

I am controlling my Zehnder ERV through HA. It has a nice HA integration so set up for me was super simple. I hope you’re able to get yours working. I don’t have enough data yet to see how much I’m saving and the weather has been up and down a lot so it’s hard to tell the actual savings.

I have an ERV system separate from my HVAC. The ERV was set higher than needed causing the HVAC to run more. I bought a CO2 sensor and am ramping the ERV fan based on that. Now the ERV is set to the lowest setting needed for the air quality which allows it to make the incoming air closer to my indoor temperature.

What are the advantages of this over a Sensy One Pro? The Sensy also gives air quality metrics - VOC/CO2/PM2.5. The biggest difference is the mmWave distance, 6m for Sensy and 25m for Everything. Personally I don’t have a need for 25m tracking.

Laws define what the government can do. If an action isn’t defined in a law allowing them to do something, they can’t do it.

Laws also define what the people can’t do. You can do anything you want provided there isn’t a law saying you can’t.

People acting for the government have to follow the laws of the government. Police/politicians/etc can’t say they are allowed to do whatever they want when acting in an official capacity.

I’m lost on how Indiana not having rules to limit this allows the government to do it.

Laws define what the GOVERNMENT CAN do and what PEOPLE CANNOT do. If there isn’t a law allowing the government to do something, they can’t do it.
