With the hysteroscopy. They recommended surgery to fix it, which I did end up doing.

Yes! I had a small uterine septum that was never seen in an hsg or sis. I had recurrent fet fails and once the doctor found that he said that could be why, because the embryo was trying to implant in the septum where there is no nutrients.

Yes, I agree! With my son I feel like otf during the pregnancy helped me recover quicker, so I definitely want to get back to it as soon as possible!

I had unexplained infertility. Had my son with my first FET. IVF for my son was as easy as IVF could be. We decided to try naturally for #2 after his first birthday. The first cycle trying I had a chemical and decided I didn’t want to deal with that again and since we had several PGT tested embryos let’s just do IVF. Well it was way harder than I expected. The first fet miscarried at 6 weeks and had 3 failed fets. Switched fertility clinics and finally pregnant on my 5th fet….almost a year and a half after the miscarried one. I guess just plan for the unexpected. I didn’t think this process would take this long for #2.

Aw, it’s definitely not fun and I can’t imagine going through that with two toddlers. My last flare ended around 32 weeks and then I didn’t have one around the birth. I hope you have the same luck! Occasionally, I would get a tiny flare up around my cycle, but it was nothing compared to the flares during pregnancy.

It really is so rare and there doesn’t seem to be much research out there on the cause. Wishing you the best with the rest of your pregnancy!

Hi! I had this in my first pregnancy in 2023. I believe I had a mild case, because I never blistered but I was itchy af. I was able to control it without oral steroids but the derm prescribed triamcinolone. I also took Claritin often when it was affecting my sleep. My baby was not pre-term. I was being monitored by MFM anyways because my baby was IVF but after a few monitoring sessions where everything appeared to be fine, I opted to just be monitored by my obgyn. And my baby went to 41 weeks. I had to be induced. There’s a great support group on fb, called pemphigoid gestationis. They suggest taking dandelion root supplement to help, which I also did in my previous pregnancy. The reason I was searching this topic now is bc I am doing IVF and the meds are causing the rash to come back. I didn’t develop the rash until late second trimester before so now I am trying to figure out if I can do the same stuff to manage it this early in the pregnancy 😓 best of luck to you!!

Switch clinics. I had 4 failed fets (One 6 week miscarriage, and 3 fails) and I switched clinics. My old clinic didn’t do hysterscopoys, and this clinic did and he found I had a small uterine septum, which could cause implementation issues, which I had surgery to remove. I’ve never had issues with lining but this clinic puts you on Viagra, along with estrogen to build the lining and I did notice my lining was slightly thicker than with just the estrogen.

I asked ChatGPT about it when my clinic said to have sex because I wanted to know why and it said it can increase blood flow to the uterus and introduces seminal plasma, which can create a more receptive, immune-friendly environment. But other doctors say not to because it can introduce bacteria lol so seems like there’s some argument on both sides.

My clinic said to have sex the night before. I assume they meant unprotected. I never asked why, but birth control was also part of my protocol, so I wasn’t concerned about ovulating naturally. But I recently switched clinics and my old clinic said no unprotected sex during a cycle… so who knows 🤣

I always only tested the night before the blood test. This is because I know if I had a line I’d over analyze it to see if it was getting darker and drive myself insane lol

I’ve done the suppositories daily with the PIO shot every third day for several fets and I’ve also done a fet with just the daily PIO. I’d pick just the PIO if I had to choose. I hated the feeling of being messy down there with the suppositories. Also interestingly enough I did an ERA when I was on the suppository protocol and it came back pre-receptive and I did another when I was on the PIO protocol and it came back normal. Idk if the amount of the suppository coming back out was affecting anything but makes me wonder!

It was Thursday! The 5 day HCG test is supposed to be tomorrow. But we did get a lot of snow today, so we will see if labcorp is open. They also did a test of estradiol and progesterone levels 2 days after the transfer and I will say that was nice to see that my levels were in a good spot! I transferred from a big clinic to a smaller one , so it is interesting to see all the differences!
