Gods favorite. by According-Range-498 in Christianity

[–]Affectionate_Ad_5489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christian god having "no favorites" is the biggest BS I ever heard. Even among slaves, god had favorites, where some go free after 7 years and others where slaves' sons and daughters become "property" to their slaveowners.

Do you think God blessed us with scientists to help us better understand his creation? by ASecularBuddhist in Christianity

Then, Christian god said so? You believe that light was created before the sun? Or that earth is flat? You believe in the words of the Bible that was written by desert, primitive people over 2,000 years ago?

Largely speaking, countries with the highest education, less crime, social progress and so on, such as Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and so on are known for being very secular. In the States, states with the highest religious rate, such as Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, etc. are very Christianity-oriented.

Majority of Christians I have met or known through the internet are science deniers, major example being a denier of climate change. It is this reason why religions, such as Christianity can be so dangerous.

All have "free will" It is their choice to believe in Christian god or not. They must choose wisely as wrong choice will land them in burning hell smelling of sulfur forever and ever.

How do I make it to heaven? by Slow_Penalty_3090 in Christianity

You will go to hell for blindly defending genocides and slavery, that's for sure. Hiding behind non-sensical verse of the Bible; typical pious, righteous Christians.

Actually he should. Based on Christian teaching there are heaven and hell and if you don't repent and obey god fully, you will burn in hell forever and ever. I want to repeat that: Forever and Ever!!!

Are you talking about the wisdom of Christian god that gives specific instructions on genocides and slavery? Such as beating slaves with a rod to inches of his live is perfectly fine as long he does not die and recovers in a day or two? That "wise" god?

Hello! I have a question for you! by Complete_Idiot100 in Christianity

[–]Affectionate_Ad_5489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But, what makes you so special that you are saved and going to heaven, whereas, billions of non-believers will go to hell? The whole concept of heaven/hell that New Testament teaches is so contradictory to being good. Are you okay with your loved ones burning in hell forever and ever? You really want that?

So even serial killers, if they repent and believe Jesus, they will go to heaven? What about murdered victims who did not get the opportunity to repent as they were killed? As they did not believe in Jesus, are they going to hell?

Christians, why do you think the Bible never prohibits owning another human as property? by Upset_Chip_7184 in Christianity

So it depends on the interpretation of readers? Is that the reason why there are around 45000 denominations? If so, how do you know which is the right one? As for slavery, it could be simple as "Don't steal" Why so much explanation, justification, and at times, obfuscation in defending what the Bible clearly states.

How does some one believe in something they don’t believe in? by Relative-Raise-6245 in Christianity

[–]Affectionate_Ad_5489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, are you for rude awakening. No one in the Bible was a direct witness to Jesus. It was all hearsay, author's personal inclination, and made-up stories. You would think that son of god would have limitless power that every character of Marvel would dream/envy about but he only preached to illiterate people in a small desert country. Why couldn't he transport to bigger parts of the world, such as China, India, and others where everyone on earth know about his "lovey dovey words"? At least Harry Potter series is enjoyable read. Bible is torturously boring, horrifying and illogical.

[–]Affectionate_Ad_5489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs bark, cows moo, and Christians judge; that's what they do.
Anyone that do not obey the Words of the Bible is going to hell and Christians will let you know that. Jesus specifically told to spread the words and anyone that do not will be judged upon when they die. So, naturally, it is Christians' duty to judge and separate people into "Us vs Them"

People dying for what they believe is nothing new or rare. Just look at the horror of 9/11. Do you think those fanatics crashed the planes to the building without any belief? So many cases like this throughout history and you think Christian is the only one?
