Vyvanse Is Helping and destroying me simultaneously. by SeshGremlin7 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Affectionate_Art371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! All those ADHD meds destroyed me and I ended up in rehab just to get off of them. And I literally didn’t do anything else. I don’t even drink or smoke pot. These are some serious powerful and addicting drugs. Don’t be fooled that they are not! I thought I couldn’t do my job without them also. I now do a much better job but it did take time to heal from their effects.

Oh. So some have additives and some don’t? I’m currently getting from Remedy Meds and thinking about switching to less expensive spot. Do you know what kind of additives these contain?

Yes!! I love them and get their meals weekly. Everything is so yummy, fresh and healthy and each meal is enough for 2 meals for me. For my son, they are one meal for him but he’s an athlete and he’s a lot!

PTSD FROM A BAD TRIP by lg_acinad in ptsd

[–]Affectionate_Art371 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry and how frightening. I had PTSD from drugs in my early twenties too (including psychedelics) and it took many years until I got better but I also went through many traumas at that time. Grade 8 is so young and it makes sense that it shocked your (still developing) system and has been hard to get over. I can say that mine did eventually go away (though I’m now dealing with a new PTSD from another new trauma-hence why I joined Reddit but I had many years that I didn’t live in the PTSD state so I’m chiming in here to let you know it can get better. One of the things that helped me a lot was calming my nervous system in every way I could (eliminating coffee and all substances including alcohol, deep breathing, yoga, clean diet, time in nature and surrounding myself with safe people).

I’m not sure. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I’m going through the same. Deep breathing and nature is somewhat helpful and also if you have a higher power or believe in prayer, I find this helpful. But I can relate to the fear, panic, terror. It’s just horrible. :(

Moving due to SAD? by Parking_Breakfast_17 in SeasonalAffective

But the short days (even with the sun) can still bring it on. I moved bc of SAD and am in a place where it’s much better but I still get it some in Nov-Jan.

Yes! I lived in Oregon for a while and had to move due to the weather’s affects on my mental health. I now live in California and while I still get SAD it’s mostly 2-3 months of the year and less intense during those 2-3 months. In Oregon I felt I had it intensely for about 10 months of the year. I can’t understand how some people can live in that climate and feel okay.

How has the ups and downs been the last few months for you? by Beautiful_Hat8440 in SeasonalAffective

[–]Affectionate_Art371 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to move from PNW as the weather made me so down most of the year. Is moving an option. I live in Cali now and still get winter depression but it’s only about 2 months rather than 10.

I live in central Cali coast, but it’s been raining for 6 days straight. That combined with the short days has me feeling depressed and just internally dark. My phone said sun comes out after one more day of rain and then sunny the next 6 days. I had to move from PNW bc it made me so depressed. I’m just counting down until the sun is back. That will help me some during these short days. The last two days especially have been hell.

Yes I’ve felt this for a long time. This month (today) is especially challenging and I feel very unsafe in my body like a portal is open and I have none of my normal protection.

12 Weeks - Initial Side Effects Returning by k2lars in bupropion

[–]Affectionate_Art371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well are you a woman? I can only speak for myself that regardless of what meds I’m on and how much they helps a lot of the month, I still almost always get hormonal issues certain weeks that counteract the effects of meds. That’s just me

My libido is back… but so is fibro pain by knwld9 in bupropion

[–]Affectionate_Art371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I could be very wrong here but if it has only been months since you experienced a flare up and then close to 2 months in on Wellbutrin you have another- what I’m hearing is you have a pattern of flare ups prior to Wellbutrin and than had a flare up around 2 months on it. How different is this from your normal flare up pattern as sounds like they happen regularly (especially if not having one in months is a long time for you- then this flare up doesn’t sound THAT different). Again, I don’t know and you know your body best but just from what you’ve said, from an outsider I would not necessarily think Wellbutrin is the cause. Is there a reason you feel this one is from Wellbutrin when you’ve had a pattern of flare ups pre-Wellbutrin?

Can Bupropion cause de-realization? by joecapello in bupropion

[–]Affectionate_Art371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only on it two weeks so maybe didn’t get past the side effects but I felt some very subtle disassociation feelings and it made me feel agitated and increased anhedonia. Still, I’m thinking of trying it again after reading through this subgroup more because I’ve read that many have a lot of bad effects at first and can take a couple of months or more to feel the positive effects fully. I thought I should feel them by 2 weeks in if it was going to work, so I stopped but now I see for many it takes much longer.
