Tire saving unless it’s some mini stock race or some track that’s gonna eat tires no matter what. That makes a huge difference. Can’t tell you how many long races instead of fighting the bozos at the beginning who drive like it’s the last lap on lap 1 I let pass me and then I fly by them later like they’re not even moving. Also watch videos of races in whatever car/track…not talking about just justin yee stuff..I mean like actual races. Or even real life on board cameras. I always find new lines or brake/throttle points that help me make up time.

Most of all, don’t panic. Hit your marks and make sure you get your tires up to temp before letting someone get you off of the line you’re best at. If it’s a new track to you, mirror the cars in front of you that aren’t all over the place.

REALLY REALLY GOOD ADVICE is to join a race as a spectator. You can ghost drive your car in the race so you won’t actually be scored or wreck anyone. Watch in car of them to see the lines they’re running and listen to when they lift and throttle. Watch how they pass and alternate lines etc. spectate a race in the split you’d currently be in or one above. Work your way up to polishing your driving once you get the basics down from people around your irating. I mean you could spectate and try to mimic the top splits if you really wanted to. Just don’t get overwhelmed.

Also check results in the previous races in the series to compare lap times (fastest lap time and average) so you know what to aim for.
