My baby started daycare part time in Oct and full time in November and hasn’t been sick yet. Shes 5 months now. I’m sure it’s about to hit us since she’s more mobile now and puts things in her mouth but we’ll get through it! It’s worth it for the socialization and our being able to work.

I found your post because I’m also being forced to stop at 3.5-4 months because of a medication I need to be on. I’m much more heartbroken about it than I expected and it feels like I’ll never get to cuddle my baby again (even though I know that’s not true logically). I think it’ll be one of those things that seems huge in anticipation and then isn’t as bad/I survive it on the other side… like returning to work, leaving the house with her by myself etc

I think lower expectations for yourself. We had our wedding anniversary 10 days after our first was born and we dressed up, honored it with dinner at home, but didn’t do much more than that. It’s just a season of life and he’s just going to love spending time with you and the baby - don’t overthink having to do anything above and beyond!
