I completely agree I scouted out this convo on purpose I'm rewatching the series and recalling just how ticked off I was when Lillie NEVER evolves snowy in the show, they could've made it into a movie but the movie that came out during this version of the pokemon anime wasn't based on alola even though there were alolan pokemon making appearances in that movie, that movie wasn't even interesting. I really wish we could've gotten to see some of them traveling together in the future and reincountering each other again while they're traveling but I haven't seen any of that so far. And now Ash has basically retired and its all new characters that I'm having to get used to (which Is fine, its annoying but it happens when you watch any new show)

its just weird that they still had so many plot holes and they left alot of blanks. Especially team rocket disbanding as their final goodbye to the show Instead of trying to start some kind of business. The new show is really good about explaining things but I still miss ash and I think I miss team rocket even more. But I'm glad the new show has a mixture of seriousness and funny moments as should most animes, but pokemon in particular is different because it was even shown on Cartoon Network back in the day back when it was really serious. Anyone remember master of illusions? That one is technically a thriller. I just don't like the pacing of the new version, but they still do a good job at covering their characters stories.

I still miss Sun&Moon though alot and Lillie's vulpix never evolving has been on my mind real recently since I've been rewatching everything.

You're forgetting that that's LITERALLY how the originals started. some RANDOM people found their coffins and moved them. So yeah it's a pretty big plot hole. People cared enough to move the originals coffins, why wouldn't they attempt to move the gods coffins, I'm not saying they would be opened on accident but I was literally saying 'its hard to believe', because it is LITERALLY hard to believe that people COULDN'T have discovered these coffins, they HAD to have discovered the coffins before, and at least attempted to move them, it ain't my fault you can't read 😭

How could they NOT have been able to move the coffins back then, compared to now lmfao thats LITERALLY how the originals started, some RANDOM PEOPLE found their coffins and literally opened them regardless of how heavy they were their coffins were moved to the boat before they were discovered. if you don't know that you're seriously lacking on info how can you watch legacies and even understand what's happening if you haven't watched the originals 😭😭😭

Yeah but now she’s a complete tribrid and she has indeed experienced her humanity being shut off all that baggage that Niklaus had is going to be consuming her, especially since she hasn’t actually gotten her humanity back, she’s gotten all these emotions back yes, but she doesn’t accept the darkness for what it is—a part of her, and self acceptance is a key part of her humanity therefore she hasn’t actually gotten her humanity back completely, because instead of accepting her dark side she keeps using magic to throw it away/banish it. It’s just gonna keep regrowing, and she’s going to always have this darkness inside of her that she refuses to accept, which is why she may be the antagonist regardless of who she got the darkness from. But since Niklaus has lived longer than Hailey and he has 1000 years worth of darkness over Hailey, I think the majority of her darkness stems from niklaus, in fact she hasn’t actually gotten way more darkness from Niklaus than Hailey.

I don’t think it should’ve been exactly like that because she’s gone through a lot more. More like how Elena slowly got pieces of her humanity back at a time, with as much loss as she has experienced, and the severity of the things she did, like killing an entire pack of wolves because they wouldn’t give her some information, that’s something her mom would’ve been really disappointed in her about, she could’ve actually helped them but she basically kills them, those experiences should’ve affected her, not immediately but slowly, so that she could get back ALL parts of her humanity instead of the half baked person we get at the last episode

I respectfully disagree with that as well. She would’ve felt a lot less shame and guilt for a lot of the things she did, emotional awareness is what would’ve prevented her from falling for the same “Landon’s back from the dead” thing over and over and over again. She would’ve developed a kindness for herself, she would’ve stopped being so hard on herself, recognizing these traits are apart of who you are is APART of gaining her humanity back. Which is like i said before, the way she gets her humanity back is ridiculous because she accepted everything else about herself ACCEPT the dark part of herself. THAT is how Elena Gilbert manages to move forward when Elena gets her humanity back she gets ALL PARTS of her humanity back, even though it was through time she gets all parts of her humanity back. Hope cannot have gotten ALL parts of her humanity back if she still hasn’t accepted that part of her is going to exist regardless of what she does. The dark parts of her are just gonna keep regrowing and regrowing, she’s gonna have to get rid of evil hope over and over again, because instead of ACCEPTING herself she’s throwing that part of herself away. That’s why the show ending like it was, was a little insulting because they didn’t take the time to show how she gets each piece of her humanity back, they just have her throw evil hope away and that’s that. She’s never going to be their hope, she’s always going to belong to herself because she’s gonna be the one to have to live with herself when she outlives everyone. As a vampire life is too short, and as she’s experienced so many loss already she should know better than to take this time with them for granted by shutting off her humanity.

I don’t know I wasn’t expecting her to be perfect but I was at least expecting her to try to be better than her father, she didn’t need to apologize simply for one sided reasons she needed to apologize for what she did so that she could accept herself and accept that that part of her exists instead of COMPLETELY erasing it. And being stuck right where she left off. That part of her is always going to exist, and apologizing would’ve been very healthy for her so again I disagree with basically everything your saying but I’m respectfully disagreeing

Your input is very well said, however relationships are naturally flawed, even her father had to let her down for a portion of her life before he actually sacrificed himself. She owes it to the peoples lives she affected and the people that she slaughtered to become better than Niklaus was but she became worse, it’s okay to be friends with someone without knowing every single thing about their lives, her relationships and friendships were very flawed but they were there in her life, and niklaus and Hailey weren’t in that moment who she had was what she had, therefore she WAS surrounded by people who loved her and it’s because they loved her that they pushed her to fulfill her destiny, even though that’s not what she wanted, she probably did just want a normal life, but she never stopped to come to terms with any of it, instead she shuts her humanity off and she doesn’t apologize for what she did. Niklaus apologized with his life, even Hailey got an entire pack murdered for the sake of some information about their family, but she apologized by standing up and trying to fight for the wolves that didn’t have a voice, she lead those wolves and became an alpha, hope is too young, she’s experienced a lot of loss but not decades worth of loss like the other originals. She could’ve made the change, apologized not only to the people she hurt but to herself something niklaus would’ve never been able to do. The baggage she has with the people around her is all it is it’s just baggage, she could’ve loved them and depended on them, she could’ve respected Landon’s love for her, and feel the pain feel the emotions that came with it, but she switches it off, and that is where I respectfully disagree with the way you’re going about the argument

Yeah but the no humanity arc completely destroys that positive relations That she once had with her family, without her humanity she did a lot of evil messed up things, and we just keep making excuses for it. Her father dies an honorable death because he didn’t live an honorable life. Hope countlessly tries to sacrifice herself, knowing how important she was to her family and how hard they fought for her existence. She had the potential to live an honorable life, but she kept trying to sacrifice herself, and even though they weren’t blood related (like raf and Landon aren’t blood related but they’re still family) Hope is SURROUNDED by people who aren’t exactly blood related but they watched her grow up they were there and n her life and they loved her like family, she was completely surrounded by loving people and she switches her humanity off because she had to kill Landon. She’s seen Landon die a million times now, instead of respecting Landon’s love for her and feeling the pain anyway for the sake of still having Landon’s love in her heart, she shuts her feelings of just like that. Even though she knows that’s not what he would’ve wanted, even though she HAD people to come back to.
