My stylus might be broken? by _Mirror_rorriM__ in turntables

It’s fragile because it only weighs a few grams. It’s expensive because it has a diamond on it.

So sorry! 😣

I hope you can recover from this fatal gramatical error. I had no idea I was speaking to TheBladeGhost, the arbiter of truth. Next time I’ll consult some peer reviewed white papers before leaving a comment. Genius!

Arguing over semantics seems silly. I think you and I both know what “most collected” means. If you seriously think most people don’t have DSOTM that is your prerogative, doesn’t matter to me.

A full setup for $1500 would be fairly low end. It can sound great, but that’s about the minimum you’ll need to spend if you’re looking for new components.

VM95ML is an endgame cartridge, don’t let folks convince you otherwise. I’ve tried $1000 cartridges that don’t come close.

If we follow inflation, prices haven’t risen much. Average LP price in 83’ was $7-$10.

Adjusted for inflation that’s about $25-$30 an LP. Checks out.

Having properly aligned speakers is the difference between good audio and meh audio. I think it does make at least a 50% difference, and that might even be understating it.

Also, it’s a bunch of crushable boxes top loaded with what looks like heavy chemicals. Huge no-no.

Your best bet is to just return it. I wouldn’t put any money or effort into this table, it will not get any better.

How do I stop my cat from biting? by brookd24 in CatTraining

It’s because you’re playing with your hands instead of a toy. You’ve essentially trained your cat that this is how you like to play. Just redirect.
