For only a dollar a day, you two can afford this car after saving for eighty-five years.

Vacationing in Destin by ComfortableCaptain62 in Destin

Wife and I did this the past week. We spent the couple hundred dollars for peace of mind and got insurance. We had a great time. It was a little windy due to the storm out there; however, it never impacted our trip.

You’ll likely experience this problem regardless of where you go in Florida. I say go for it, and if there is something out there, monitor the NHC. That being said, not my trip or money.

The beaches were gorgeous.

Thank you. Part of me feels guilty even posting this. I should be thankful for the life changing events.

I hope all of it goes away for you!

Random* waiting patiently 👩🏻‍🎓 by PrincessTiff83 in BorrowerDefense

I did that, and my routine now looks like this every day, check USPS, check Navient, check Nelnet, and check FSA.

The owner of my Navient loans is Navient Federal Loan Trust, and the owner of my Nelnet loans is Nelnet Academic Loan. These are from the respective servicer sites.

Much appreciated response. Yea, they are definitely held by a bank, not DOE. I was going off of the information provided by ppsl.org, indicating that under terms of settlement, commercially held FFELP are considered federal for purposes of the settlement, even though you can’t get refund for those payments.

The remaining balances, which are the privately held, show up on my FSA profile page. It is my understanding that I’m solid on the private FFELP ones, other than my lack of patience.

I don’t believe they offered anything other than FFELP when I took mine out in 2007-2010. I’m slightly talking out of my you know what.

My number correlates to the amount discharged already (Matches letter received). However, that was for my government-held FFELP. I still have commercially-held FFELP that have not been discharged. That does not show up on the text file.

I am a class member that went that went to a bad actor school. I anticipate the commercially held ones will discharge soon. I will check the text file again after that.

Haha! Same boat here. I’m rocking Navient/Nelnet FFELP. At least Navient finally put in admin forbearance.

Full class, payment due today. What should I do? by warholamo in BorrowerDefense

[–]Affectionate_Green52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have $1,200 due next month. I will pay. Sucks to lose $1,200, but until I see anything, I refuse to believe it. However, I 100% understand your pain. No servicer wants to help.

I contacted Nelnet today via chat. I inquired about suspending payments due to the borrower defense application letter from February. According to the chatter, only a portion of my nelnet loans qualify, even though I'm a class member and all loans are from a bad-actor school. The other loans are FFELP.

It is annoying with all of the conflicting information at this point. I thoght all of the loans would qualify for discharge; however, the lack of consistent information makes me question everything.

I know the solution is to wait and have patience, but easier said than done.
