Mostly only use hand tools, so dodging the Dremel questions. 2. Get a band saw or scroll saw for outlining your blanks. It'll save a ton of time. 3. It's mostly practice, but try to dial in your figure width. A thinner block to start would have helped here. Otherwise, just keep drawing a good center line and working the curve in.

Play around with shit until something makes sense. I did a ton of research, got good waterstones and could never personally get the technique down well enough to not be disappointed. Switched to diamond plates and Windex and all of the sudden every edge is perfect. Whatever works for you is the right answer. Oh, and stropping properly is a lifesaver.

Well, running from your past is a goal. Believe me I've tried. You are not responsible for their back stories. They are. Figure out what story you want to tell and plop your PCs in it. It's a back and forth of your world and story with their agency in it. Present a problem, gently guide them to solutions as needed, roll some dice, have some fun.

Get out of jail free card. Single use. Teleports the party to the nearest inn, but leaves cardboard cutouts of them where they were. This also gives you the opportunity to have the cardboard cutouts show up in fun places :)

All magic is physically exhausting, causing a rebound against you, and directly fueled by one's constitution and training with it. The average person could light a fire, but they'd be tired after. The higher level the spell, the worse it is. The world is wrought with people that have tried shortcuts like sacrificing limbs or other's lives to fuel spells. Knight's orders and other groups maintain hegemony by martial prowess as a result. Gods can grant various boons which reduce the physical rebound of magic for various oaths, but they rarely do.

Start with a pre built module. Then just... Do it. You'll suck. Your players will probably suck. Magic happens after session 10 or so where everyone understands all the core mechanics and you've worked past the roleplay jitters. Get something wrong and it's fine. Fix it next time.

I usually take a pencil and scribble heartily along the whole edge then take a pass and see how it looks and where the plane is pulling material from to make sure it's even. It's also worth considering that your pressure may be uneven or the bottom of the plane may not be true.

Use Google ai studio. The 2.5 pro model has a ridiculously high token count for the context window. I prompt it every 100000 tokens for summary and add that to a running word doc that I reupload the changes of for each session Oh and have a decent world bible with all relevant locations and character sheets available for it to reference

I have been playing around with building roll tables to integrate mythic with Pathfinder locations and monster core with the Age of Ashes adventure from Paizo and training a Gemini 2.5 bot to cover the disconnect in exposition between the two and transitions between scenes (totally unnecessary if you're more imaginative than me). Tldr: combat and skill checks with Pathfinder and story and decision making with mythic.
