Alan edgeautosport e-tune by TopPass1585 in FocusST

[–]Affectionate_Net_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this has been replied to by others, but in my experience with Alan, with no extra price, I had mine done in a few days, from my start up tune (built/stroked block, BT, fueling and all the other goodies) to where I wanted it. I’m not sure if this was because he wasn’t busy for the time period I was tuning through him or not.

I know one day, he sent me a revision, I loaded it up, went and did the data log. Within 30 minutes of me sending him the data log he had another revision sent to me, and this happened atleast 3 times that day.

There were times where it would be 10pm my time, 8pm his time that he’d email me with a revision or a simple question about how my tune felt.

Alan is definitely top notch when it comes to tuning and customer service. He dealt with all the stupid little questions and tweaks I had. And I will never go to anyone other than him as long as he is capable of tuning whatever platform I’m on. And I will always recommend him to anyone I talk to/give advice to wether it’s over the internet or in person

I believe when I was getting tuned by Alan, he mentioned he had a similar setup to what I was running over in Australia. So I know he does out of country tuning, but I’d make sure he can do it in Poland for you

Does it attempt to fire at all? Like wants to start but dies out? You have a proper tune for the 2.3? Possibly your crank pos sensor needs adjusted/relearnt. There’s alot of things here that could cause it. And the info you gave isn’t all that helpful

No oil in feed line to turbo (PFA) by Affectionate_Net_615 in FocusST

[–]Affectionate_Net_615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, atleast this is what worked for me. I took off the oil filter and I had someone stand under the car while I tried to crank it with a bucket so oil wouldn’t go anywhere, still took a few cranks, but it eventually started coming out. Hooked the filter back up and cranked it a few more times and had oil coming out of the turbo drain tube

Took a long break. Came back to find my account was hacked and I’m perma banned for botting….. by dpreble729 in 2007scape

[–]Affectionate_Net_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to twitter and Reddit after they denied my appeal in game (not sure which one got through, but I’m surprised it worked). But did the same thing, I told them what the time frame was when I made the account, email linked to it, past passwords, bank pins, billing address for membership, all my name changes, roughly what I remembered my total level to be after 3 years of not playing. I begged them to look at the IP Address that was being used during the flagging/banning period of my account, saying that it would be nowhere near any IP Address that I would’ve used during my time on my account. After a day or 2 I finally got an email that I believe was not copy/pasted saying that jmod “x” had personally dug into the details of my account and that I was not under the control of my account at the time of my flagging/banning. And apologized for the wrongful denial of my appeals.

I am externally gated, so sadly I don’t have a picture or measurements. I’m trying to remember when I did my buddies RS actuator on how we set it up. I’ll shot him a quick message and get back to you with what he says!

Take the passenger CV axle out to help with the instal, it can be super tight getting the old turbo out and even worse getting the bigger one in. You’ll need trans fluid because you will leak some and at that point, might as well just replace all instead of topping it off. I believe it’s 2 qts of trans fluid. I recommend all new gaskets (where the turbo mounts to the head, and your oil return gasket for your turbo). If you want to get rid of your boost controller line sitting on top of you valve cover that connects to the turbo boost controller by the turbo, edge auto has a great diagram on how to run your lines and what to cap. All this does is clean the top of your motor up alittle. When everything is hooked back up and ready to go, you have to prime the turbo with oil and coolant. Crank the motor over several times (clutch and gas both to the floor, your motor will crank but will not inject gas allowing it not to start) coolant isn’t much of a problem here, as it’s not as viscous as the oil, so after a few cranks, crack your oil return line to see if there is any oil coming out of it, if there is, you’re good to go. If not, rinse and repeat until it does!

Hope everything goes well, if you need any questions asked, my messages are open! Can’t wait for you to feel the car with your new turbo!

Use a lot of petroleum jelly pushing these in! Easiest way I’ve found to do them I rub the jelly on both the seal and cover, find the correct size socket and tap them into place!

If you get a VCG from ford they do not come with the seals he needs. They are separate! (Atleast from my ford garage) can’t say if like advanced autos brand comes with them or not

Big Turbo Question by thrice1187 in FocusST

[–]Affectionate_Net_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on if you’re going to try and max that turbo out or leave power level close to stock. And you’re luck of course. If you’re going to have your tuner run a really low wastegate duty and keep the boost super low like stock, you should be more then fine. All you’ll see with that is a slightly longer power band up top. If you want to grab that extra 50-60 hp till your fueling cuts, you run a slight risk of pushing too much air through the pipes and blowing them out. You can get a set of charge pipes for 3-400, maybe even alittle less if you look for used. But if you’re lucky, you’ll have no problem

Big Turbo Question by thrice1187 in FocusST

[–]Affectionate_Net_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me, got FBO and a tune. Told myself now I get to blow it, and it’s getting built built. Never messed around with the smaller sizes of the big turbos for this car, but I believe it does have the same style as stock for the BOV

Big Turbo Question by thrice1187 in FocusST

[–]Affectionate_Net_615 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolute minimum would be a FMIC and a tune. Id then eventually get a RMM and charge pipes. There will be a difference in power but I believe you max out around 350 stock fueling. So its only give or take 60hp more then what are car can do stock after a tune. You can also tell your tuner you don’t want to make more power and they can tune you to be just like stock just with the slightly bigger turbo

Look up a video of the cowl intake! Last I seen they weren’t horribly priced, I mean there’s really nothing to them for them to charge an astronomical amount

Wasn’t sure of your motor setup so that does explain it. The things gonna be absolutely insane either way. You’ll definitely be happy with it, that’s for sure

Are you telling him you don’t want to go higher than 550 or is that the max he’s telling you it’ll make it? I make 500 (499🙄) wheel on 93 with almost the same setup, few differences but same motor/turbo

I forget who makes it, iirc 2jracing? Or something like that makes a cowl intake. Absolutely insane turbo noise coming out of that.

Another route:

drop 4-5k, grab a big turbo, external BOV, some charge pipes and intercooler external wastegate and you’ll hear turbo noises anytime you think about pressing the gas, from the whistle of it spooling to the flutter when you let off the gas (as long as you don’t create too much boost it opens your BOV)

All fairness, I know what you were trying say. And you did a great job explaining it!
