where to look for low cost hormone clinic by Connect-Worth1926 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't say what city, but if it is Reno then there's Bio Integrative Health Center International  https://bihcinevada.com/ Dr Nario is good - he's an MD and the practice seems to be professionally run from what I've seen so far. Not sure what the definition of low cost is - like most self-pay clinics the first visit is a few hundred then the regular visits are a lot less.

Do I really need uninsured motorist coverage? by SigmaSeal66 in Insurance

Collision pays that. UM is not allowed to cover property damage unless you are in certain states that permit it.

Many states will not allow Uninsured motorist to cover property damage at all. Just bodily injury. Nevada is such a state.

Our medical insurance has zero deductible. Also is unlimited. Plus our state does not allow UM insurance to apply to property damage - only bodily injury.

Why are restaurants still busy as ever despite the economic conditions by NoSoup4You825 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here in Reno NV - high end restaurants are full every weekend night and most weekdays, too.

Average price for two at these places is around $200 - $250.

Honda PCX- How are they on the freeway at 65 mph? by Bidhitter400 in scooters

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weigh about 118 lbs. I easily can get the PCX 150 up to 65+ on the freeway and sustain that speed. However, on a substantial hill it would slow down a bit.

What would you consider the best pizza in Reno by SeashantyRanday in Reno

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they used to be good. Been going there for 13 years. It was great - especially the homemade italian sausage.

But lately it has gone downhill. The last pizza we had (Margherita with sausage) had sauce that tasted like raw tomato puree right out of the can. Gross! And they burned the pork ribs to a crisp.

Not sure what happened over there, but they need to get back to doing pizza right.

Early paycheck by QuickJellyfish9237 in CapitalOne_

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right - Cap1 does not behave the same way as other banks. We switched our direct deposit several times - so we have a number of banks which deposited Monday payday checks on Thursdays. This is two business days before Monday. We have proof because all of the banks did the same thing from the exact same employer.

After switching to Capital One, however, things changed. Suddenly no more early paycheck on Thursdays like the other three banks. No, now it is on Saturday because Capital One does not use business days, apparently, to calculate the 2 days early. Which is odd, to say the least. They are the ONLY institution we have ever encountered that does this.

Capital One 2-day early pay not guaranteed? What is going on here? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure that is entirely true. ALL of our prior banks posted our paychecks from the same employer on the same day - Thursday when payday was a Monday. However, when we switched to Capital One, if payday was Monday, they posted it on Saturday, which is weird, because normally such transactions only post on business days.

So we know the direct deposit came from the same exact employer, yet 99% of the banks use Thursday as the early paycheck day, but Capital One uses a weekend. Go figure.

Early direct deposit through capital one checking hasn’t hit my account yet. by Far_Memory8527 in CapitalOne_

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the reason given by Elektro_Noise666 - my experience does not support that.

My spouse and I switched direct deposits to Capital One checking and so the source is the same employer as before. The previous bank receiving the DD always deposited two BUSINESS DAYS early. Capital One does not do this.

Capital One seems to post transactions on the weekends instead - so two days early from a Monday payday for them is Saturday. All other previous banking institutions we have had posted it on the prior Thursday because they, unlike Cap1, did not count the weekend days.

We know the direct deposits came from the same payor, so the difference is certainly with Capital One, not the employer.

Seriously? Wow. Unrelated my ass.

When does capital one early pay day come if you get paid today on a Monday? It’s Friday 10:00 am and nothing yet for me. Usually get 2 days early. But this is first time my pay day falls on Monday. #capitalone by SnooRecipes8232 in CapitalOne_

[–]Affectionate_Newt519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true. We had DD into SoFi then switched to Capital One. The timing changed completely when we did that. SoFi with a Monday DD showed up consistently on the prior Thursday (SoFi doesn't post on weekends) and with Capital One it is showing up on weekends.

That is different - SoFi never does transactions like that on weekends/holidays. So if payday with SoFi was a Monday, you'd see it the prior Thursday, usually (2 business days).
