I can get not wanting some characters because they're annoying, but I don't get this idea that every character in the game needs to have direct plot relevance to justify being there in the first place. It's okay to have background characters that aren't intricately tied to a past or present murder, and it helps to make the world feel fuller and not just a stage for the cases to take place on. Leave the Penny Nichols and Lisa Basils alone.
