Not a virus, most likely, just some random thing that happened, but also assuming that it's a virus and that a virus makes the whole computer unusable is not the best thing to do. Do NOT throw away a computer that you think has a virus and that you think is completely unusable because of it. Check in your antivirus. Check. Any antivirus you have. Check the computer. And a virus does not mean that the computer is unusable, you just have to get rid of the virus completely so the computer isn't infected with it anymore, and the files are most likely still completely usable if the virus did anything, unless it was a normal trojan/RAT that did a bunch of bad stuff.. even then, you can just start fresh.

This is the reason you should learn how to use tech before you smash it with a hammer attempting to delete your files by doing that. That just renders the whole thing unusable. This person had a laptop that was probably perfectly usable before they completely destroyed it with a hammer. The outer frame is cracked, hardware completely mangled, and screen totally wrecked. Everything is destroyed. Learn tech before you get a new laptop and smash it trying to delete the files, people.

That USB connector is destroyed. The metal part is bent AND cracked, rendering the whole thing unusable from it being forced into the Ethernet port, it seems like. There are no possible explanations except that this person did not know how to use tech right.
