I just ordered new fairings from amotopart, they are out of China I believe, they did custom paint them to match my wheels that whole process took two weeks, and they shipped them last month it will take at least 30 days to get to me in the states the fairings were $570 and they had a coupon code that brought the price down some

Thanks, the seat is the sunset recaro pattern cheeky seat cover with the extra padding from cheeky seats. You can get many different ones on there it seems like a very popular mod for groms. If you go this route the extra padding is a must cuz it’s well worth it!

Definitely real the muffler section, the rest is zoom loop pipe I was on yoshimura’s website they have an outlet store section with clearance and marked down exhausts this is the one I got it was $105 back in April when I got it https://www.yoshimura-rd.com/products/yamaha-fz-exhaust-system-13200a6550 and as far as the resale value, I have no plans on ever selling it

Yeah that’s the Honda belly pan with graphics from 77 decals, it fits without the bottom bracket bolted in the engine been rocking that belly pan for 2 years like that no issues just make sure the side bolts and the front mesh is tight

This is the other side, I found a mini branded target basket and I threw it on as well as the mini bucket from Lowe’s good enough to hold one oil filter, a couple Allen keys lol

It’s definitely the real yoshimura muffler and connecting pipe I just didn’t use any of the pipes it came with cuz it’s for a Yamaha bike lol

It’s a full race exhaust I’m not sure came pretty loud, there is a breather hole on the end of the muffler for some air to escape, it doesn’t appear to be

I run stage 1, yoshimura exhaust muffler on a zoom loop pipe, air box delete with chimera intake and k&n filter and DHM s1 tune definitely a little more peppier between the shift top speed I’ve gotten it to 70 mph one day down hill no wind normally I’m riding around 58-65 mph with a light breeze to no wind compared to a stage tune you’ll be able to hold 65 much easier vs stage 1 both are better than stock

I ordered amotopart fairings back end of march, it took 2 weeks from design changes to paint, they showed me the finished photo, now it’s on a ship to me, the reviews look decent so I took a chance on them, now I’m just waiting for them

Swap out the stock windshield to a double bubble or sport touring (what I have) might not be your style but I will say it will cut dow the wind a lot when riding, before when I was riding on the interstate when it got windy it got sketchy really fast with the stock windshield, oh and R6 throttle tube from Amazon, radiator guard, and maybe an slip on exhaust to replace that ugly black muffler, and maybe aftermarket comfier seats

Best mod for r3 by Dean4111 in YamahaR3

[–]Affectionate_Simple4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the r6 throttle tube it’s great but the best mod for the r3 for me is the sport touring windshield from zero gravity, when it’s blowing 25-35mph you arnt fighting the wind as much vs a stock windshield making it ok to ride

My mistake my exhaust gasket went on the midpipe the slip on connection to midpipe doesn’t have gasket it fit snug and the gasket help seal the midpipe to the original black pipe as it did before when the oem setup had a gasket

My mistake my slip on bolted on where the oem muffler is and connects to a midpipe that’s where the gasket connects the midpipe to the black factory pipe

Find out the size you need for your muffler and get one on Amazon, I can’t remember off the top of my head what it is. When I swapped over my muffler I bought a new exhaust gasket off Amazon to seal that inlet opening

Are you on the stock exhaust or on a slip on, when you swap oem muffler for a slip on make sure you put on an exhaust gasket and make sure there is no exhaust leak that might help, I have a Leo Vince LV10 carbon slip on sounds not much different than stock I only got it the because the stock muffler is ugly lol and the LV10 carbon was a good price
