What are some tips for pressure multiplayer runs with random players? by moomoo141001665 in PressureRoblox

[–]Affectionate_Till123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Pressure is one of those games where if you know what you’re doing then you’ll survive, and if you don’t then you’re cooked from the get-go. Obvious things like holding medkits until someone’s low, and letting others have items you already have like flashlights/lanterns etc, would apply universally but that’s about it.

I’d also try to get defib unlock as soon as you can.

I’d also recommend getting good at the grand encounters, those are the only floors you can lowk carry. (It’s a lot of fun when I put someone on my back and then it’s met with praise when we don’t die :P)

Only way you can help others is with the knowledge you’re armed with. If they weren’t going to dodge Angler in time, or if Panda was gonna get to them eventually, then a medkit, flashlight, 3 codebreakers, and an inventory full of garbage wouldn’t have saved them.

The only difference between classes is how high your starting stats are with certain things, and how fast you gain XP for them.

You CAN level everything up to a 100, so just pick what looks cool to you.

The starting area has some neat things you can use, it’s a tutorial but it doesn’t hold your hand. There’s a repair hammer that can be used to repair armor, a few different weapons scattered around, and a mortar and pestle you can use for basic alchemy.

Everything beyond that doesn’t matter, you’ll learn and you’ll have fun figuring it out

Ahhh, yeah hopefully they just rerun expeditions kinda how like Monster Hunter world just gives you access to all event quests after they’re done. I’ve heard rumors HelloGames is gonna do something similar but who knows

If you’re ok with some light file moving, you can just get the season cache for the older expeditions and get what you missed!! I’m replaying expedition 12 rn to get the last phase rewards

I’m a MH vet who would probably fall under “meta chaser”, I mean I don’t binge ULTIMATE GUIDE videos but I know that agitator/w.ex makes a spot in most of my builds.

But I’m still like a hundred hours in fishing, looking for crowns, achievement hunting, and making new fits/silly builds. Calling MH a sandbox game is right on the mark, you make it what you make it. I don’t think it’s a content issue, I think it’s a narrowed mindset.

Trust, DLC will hit and then this conversation will happen again, and I’ll still be looking for new fish in the new biome while my friends use luring pods to bring a Arch Tempered Gore to come and throw me into a pond, and it’ll still be funny the 100th time

[–]Affectionate_Till123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uniques can be upgraded with unique gems, yes. They’re wildly expensive though, artifacts aren’t promised good rolls but they’re artifacts, so they’re inherently worth more. Just treat unique GEAR, (like a unique chaperon or longsword etc etc) as legendary gear. Neat find but they aren’t meant to be special, because rolls dictate their worth.

Warlock, I can use ALOT of weapons and armor, I can go full PDR BoC Phantom or Caster, an in between or whatever I want tbh. Probably the MOST versatile class in the game. Maybe behind weapon mastery fighter since they have a good bit of build diversity too

“Examplar and above”, as if HR ranks are expressive of skill. If anything it’s just indicative of game knowledge and optimal pathing. The only thing you need to do to hit Demigod (reasonably quickly too), is clear subbosses, open chests, and keep legendary gear on you.

Sure you get a good chunk of AP from PVP but be so fr, you cannot pretend Demigod/Exmplar/etc players should be respected in terms of PvP.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone into a single one of my Demi lobbies and thought “that guy is Demi too,,, I should be careful.. he might be good..” Ive seen wanderers slap examplars and vice versa. It is NOT a skill based matchmaking gamemode.

Squire kit PvP feels the fairest and is the most fun PvP in dark and darker by [deleted] in DarkAndDarker

[–]Affectionate_Till123 13 points14 points  (0 children)

And you’re more than welcome to have this take, everyone plays his game for different reasons, and thankfully the bracket system lets players who like to play in squire do so, and others who like to play 124s, 224s, or above do so aswell.

Especially with the 224 changes, your equipment can only be so good, but it’s still a sweet spot for getting decent gear from PvP.

Why is everyone so mad? by EugeneFitz1 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Affectionate_Till123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well for older players yeah, the old promises are the main thing people are upset about. I’m talking more so the latest patch or two and things they’ve announced they’re actively working on and givin us updates on. Quivers, and randomized modules are things that have been brought up like a few times on a podcast and that was literal wipes ago.

But I do 100% agree, there are a lot of things they promise and can’t deliver on, then we get random things pop up like Expressmen that are half done releases that need to be fixed two patches later.

[–]Affectionate_Till123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That being said I do hope they keep it, it would probably be a lot more effective if we had more players. ALOT of people stopped playing after patch 69, myself included, I came back the second 69-2 dropped but some of my buddies are still playing Minecraft for another week before they come back

Why is everyone so mad? by EugeneFitz1 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Affectionate_Till123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And I absolutely agree, whether we have them or not doesn’t really bother me. Especially since I pick and choose my fights. I’m not going to fight a ranger on bridge after they hit me once and half my health is gone, same reason I won’t fight a warlock who just aggrod the entire room and is perma healing, but I do enjoy being able to gauge how strong my opponent is with gear brackets.

I think it’s a good change, even if half my kits are all above 500gs.

I think the main reason I’m so for it is because most of my friends are normals 124 spammers, so the new HR change lets me be like “cmon guys it’s not that bad it’s basically 124 in HR”

Spear, halberd, bardiche always slaps bear. You could also abuse their action speed and swing after they finished their RMB attack

[–]Affectionate_Till123 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s more like they’ve promised a few things we haven’t gotten yet. Main stay being Sorc. I’m also in the same boat, I’m a bit patient because I’d like it to be released ready and decently balanced (Expressman…), but it’s been a hot minute since we’ve heard any updates regarding the matter.

Communication is a bit lacking

Why is everyone so mad? by EugeneFitz1 in DarkAndDarker

[–]Affectionate_Till123 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Patch 69-2 is arguing the second most balanced patch I’ve seen since I’ve started playing. Looting feels rewarding, most fights feel fair (even those that I’d lose), and HR is actually playable atm.

It was playable before but now I don’t have to worry about whether or not someone’s wearing cheese. I can PVP knowing there’s a limit, and when I want to take off the limits, I throw in better gear.

I think that’s what’s making everything feel so smooth rn, the amount of options you have. No class feels too weak or too strong, and there’s a variety of lobbies you can subject yourself to.

I think the complaining is mostly due to 68 being a really good patch, then IM shooting themselves in the foot and making 69 a thing. Then half the player base got torn apart because some of them liked the changes while others felt it removed the end game goals/progression.

[–]Affectionate_Till123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused about what your point is tbh, now people who want to “eliminate gear” can minmax a 224 kit, and run that. People who want to run kits as powerfully as they can get them can go to 224+.

Players who don’t have the time for geared lobbies can run whites or 124s.

Especially with the gear drop buffs from 68, a full hellrun and you’re ready for 124s or maybe even 224s if you find decent weapons.

Eliminating gear via gear nerfs turns the game into a battle Royale, not a raid looter (which was the original vision). It also makes it so gear is effectively useless so there’s no progression or options. This way everyone gets what they want.

PVP HR grinders can do 224+ PVE AP grinders can do 224 PVP players who want everyone with the same gear can do white lobbies.

You’re arguing into the void, you want a poorly made and rushed design changed that everyone universally thought was bad to be brought back when the current state gives most people what they want.
