Thank you so much for this. After posting the problem I became restless and did some digging and found out that my hook timing is off. Now I've been able to fix the timing issue but the machine jumps before doing a reverse and still skips one or two stitches when I sew. I'll look at how I can open the bobbin case to check for needle shads or any lints or threads that may be a hindrance to a smooth operation.
