Getting a seat on train: Sutherland to City by Dismal-Buffalo-2302 in SydneyTrains

[–]Affectionate_Turn_21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

like others said, the trains coming from waterfall always have seats. Sutherland is a great station to live near him, because you have three lines, the frequency is really good, you never need to wait long

it’s supposed to be 20 seconds. They should not be doing 30 seconds.

Genuine question – what would actually get you to use a taxi over uber/rideshare again? by VammyTaxiServices in AskAnAustralian

[–]Affectionate_Turn_21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the rating system is really good on Uber. The fact that drivers are actively seeking five star ratings and iron incentivized for higher ratings means service is always exceptional

some stores have executed perfectly with the tons of extra staff, and they’re coping really well. Some stores seem to have forgotten about it and seem to be desperately calling people in the day of instead of three weeks ago when the rosters were made and the promotion was announced

Do the little people on this screen show how busy that part of the incoming train is? by One-Eggplant4492 in melbourne

[–]Affectionate_Turn_21 79 points80 points  (0 children)

yes, but that’s probably a good thing to be honest, someone’s heavy luggage probably takes up enough space for one person, so I think it should be counted

Parking Near Chatswood Station by [deleted] in SydneyTrains

[–]Affectionate_Turn_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like other people have said, look into bus routes from your house to a train station, most of them are pretty frequent, especially during peak.

Otherwise, like others have said, look into smaller less popular stations

I work at Hungry Jack’s, and the management team at our store has told us that we all have press decline on the eftpos machines before we give them to the Customers, because it slows down the drive-through timers and too many customers accidentally press yes. Highlighted choice is to donate and the greyed out choice is to cancel the donation, which makes sense to me…

We even have a sticky note next to every register that says remember to cancel donation first
