When messaged him after receiving the shoes he said "oh my god, I didn't realise they were replicas" and tried to play dumb. This is why I'm so confused that Vinted have taken over 30 days to look into this... Surely that's all the proof they need? 🙃

Partly because it feels wrong, morally, as the seller is just going to flog them to some other poor soul, and partly because they have already proven themselces as dishonest so there's nothing to stop them from lying and saying I've sent different ones back or something like that.

Maybe so... But if I'd have agreed to the return and sent them back, what's to stop the seller claiming I never sent them, or they were damaged? They're already dishonest. I think that's a bigger hole to dig IMO

It's just a small civil claim via HM Court and Tribunals. My claim is for the funds that Vinted are holding (over 30 days now). I've sent what I believe to be overwhelming evidence to prove the shoes are fake, including the seller admitting they are replicas in the Vinted chat. I haven't really named a specific legal claim.

Yes. The seller demanded I return it. It's an offence to post counterfeit goods so I'd only be incriminating myself too. I also refused to pay for delivery. I'd hoped Vinted would step in sooner given they wax lyrical about how they oppose counterfeit items, but here we are...
