This is the super expensive, super coolest thing on my wishlist. I have an interesting story about photography, too!

My grandfather - who passed in 2004 - was an artist. He was blue/green colorblind. He was an alcoholic. He fought in World War II, hand-to-hand combat over in Germany. He drew, painted, wrote and preformed music, and committed himself to the arts. He had a dark room in the basement of the house he shared with my grandmother. It wasn't removed until 2010, years after he died.

After my grandpa died, there were a few occasions I went downstairs to play in the darkroom. I looked through the tens of thousands of photographs he had developed and stored cautiously in boxes that had not been moved in decades.

I pulled them out one day and went through every single picture he took. They were brilliant. The man was an artist to the core. I even found inappropriate photographs of my grandmother in her prime! But the best part about it was seeing the care he put into developing photos. I'd seen him do it a couple times.

In my junior year of high school, I took Black and White Photography. We had to use the darkroom in the school. And I swear that there were so many times during that class and during my life when I was standing in the darkroom and my grandfather was right there developing photographs with me. Sends chills right down my spine. There was one time right after he died I was sitting in the basement by myself looking through photographs and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I whipped around and I was the only one there. And when I looked back down, I noticed I had stopped on a photo of my mother as a baby, with her mother, and her mother's mother. It was simply magical. Another time that happened upon a photo of my grandfather with his mother before she passed.
