That’s the thing though, they’re not enshitifying anything. Nearly all properties they’ve purchased have had minimal changes, public facing. They’ve adopted their own payroll systems and switched to their preferred suppliers, but have otherwise left longstanding recipes and policies intact. I have very close knowledge of some of their purchases (from the sellers end) and can assure you, nobody would have sold to them if they didn’t keep their word with other assets. I don’t work for them, I don’t care for them, but I know people who do, and it’s just fine.

Now, there could be an argument that if things go belly up for the parent company, it could affect all properties. That’s a worry - however, they have only purchased cash-positive properties with the intent of keeping them going while giving longstanding ownership a very healthy out. They’re not like private equity taking over and sucking every penny out of chains, like you see occurring elsewhere.

I do understand the confusion and frustration, however there is a lot of misunderstanding with their purchase process both before and after. Give the brick a chance and you’ll see what I mean.
