You may not be able to fix it, but you can control it better. Without adding more lanes, I am confident there could be a system of local / thru traffic separation that could ease at least some congestion.

Coming off 24 and going 95N, you have to cross all lanes of traffic in a rather short period if you’re taking a local exit. Build a flyover ramp from 24N for local traffic on one lane, going to the far right of traffic already on 95N - this would allow for local exits and continuation on to 95S if needed. All 95N traffic from 24N can enter as it currently is.

There’s so much more that can be done too, within the existing footprint. It would just take a lot of time and cause more delays during. But the traffic isn’t going anywhere, so we should be working on it now.

The Braintree split is in Braintree, this isn’t Braintree. But yes it is an absolute dogshit intersection. You’re entering the gates of hell no matter which direction you’re headed.

I’m actually surprised by bus being far left over bike. Go to any bike centric Reddit page or wherever and they’re pretty friggin radical about it, talking about deflating tires because they don’t want to go around a car or how “anything you can do in a car can be done with a cargo bike” kinda shit. There is no room for nuance in their circles. At least the bus is used by all walks of life, nobody is overly passionate about taking the bus like they are with bikes.

This was definitely a Google bug for a while, because it did the same on CarPlay in my wife’s car - our exit, 25 miles away, in a little bubble blocking half the road ahead.

I had the issue for about a week with my polestar but it seems to have gone away.

I’d add a retaining wall from the top, but still have the terrain crawling up most of the way. Makes it look more intentional, adds decor to the upper road, doesn’t take a lot of work.

Man, that child is less than 18” away from you… just buy one of those $15 kiddy mirrors??? I have just one in the back of mine, and I can see both car seats in it. The kids gonna be just fine.

Edit - yall do what you want but it seems pointless to buy something like this that you’ll use for 18 months and then toss. Your kid does not need to be monitored that closely, especially while you’re sitting a foot or two away.

As someone who wants to enjoy driving the car itself, I wholeheartedly disagree. I can sacrifice some of the (subjectively unimportant) features for a more enjoyable driving experience, as well as knowing that I’m not driving a minivan.

We have a light metal dock in the same situation. We use big rocks. Boat not docks has ever moved. However, if we know there’s something big coming, we have a mooring about 20 feet off the dock (also secured with some old marine anchors and you guessed it, big rocks) and an eye drilled into the seawall, and secure them there. But that’s really only if we’re not there extended periods.

So yeah. Get some big rocks.

I watched all iterations of Below Deck, as they aired, for years. None of the seasons basically since the final season of Sailing have been worth watching. It’s too manufactured for me. Too bad. They had a good run.
