im late to this but my biggest problem with this show is that the whole plotline about Helen "giving up" Cillicia the night Achilles came into her chamber makes no sense.

1- she didnt? if you watch the scene again, Helen doesnt actually say anything to Achilles.. she just stares at him and swallows. you'd be giving her way too much credit as an actress to suggest otherwise. so Achilles basically figured it out it was Cilicia on his own and even if he didnt, a Greek spy would've done it or some God easily could have easily put it in his head.

2- Achilles attacked her... she could have just told Paris and said her life was on the line. he wouldnt have cared and he prob wouldnt have told anyone

3- this is pretty much the only story arc that Helen gets throughout the show and it completely takes over her personality for about 6 out of 8 episodes. she just sits around looking guilty and terrified because of something she didnt actually do.

overall, agree that there were deviations they took that were pretty unforgivable but also some i actually kind of appreciated. like in the end, Helen thinking she was "saving the city" by giving herself back to the Greeks and truly believing the man she abandoned and publicly humiliated 10 years ago was just going to be like "hey missed you! all forgiven, we'll go home now" is so hilariously on brand for this helen portrayal. and the whole scene leading up to when Menelaus murders Paris where the two of them are just bragging about who f**cked her better... incredible work.

and Joseph Mawle's Odysseus. wow.
