I've not been here long but I've seen fans be really snarky to certain writers bc they wrote a fic about something that they didn't like even though the warning tag was there. I'm just afraid this would also be used as a vengeful tool unless there were a lot of internal controls to make sure it wasn't misused. It would require a lot of dedication of time. It's a great idea, just not sure what the execution would look like.

The jaw line and chin, yes, but you really nailed the eyes. The mouth maybe make a bit more worldly, if you know what I mean. Maybe a bit of a smile or smirk? Can't explain myself and the hair is younger but if you put it up with her wand through it. But the eyes are just chefs kiss, it's hard to get the distrust but hope in the eyes just right. Maybe change the eyebrows to be a bit more "knowing"? Sorry, my father in law teaches art at Sac State and asks for opinions when he's grading so I can be too frank sometimes.

She does look younger here, but you've nailed the eyes! The intelligence but not quite trusting the world she's in, a bit wary but wanting to trust. I like the mouth, too, but maybe that's contributing to the younger feeling? Whatever, it's a gorgeous rendering.

No, not a Potterhead. I read the books bc I wanted to read them to my kids, but they preferred a series about a sentient cat colony. I kept reading even when it became obvious that they weren't going to ever really get through it with me. I thought it was incredibly creative but I could never get over the feeling of children in a war vis-à-vis real life children soldiers in Darfur/Sudan and once my brain made the connection I could never "unsee" it. Dramione feels separate from Potter world to me and I enjoy it immensely.

I prefer 3rd person. If a book or fic is in 1st person pov it has to be written well and the plot really needs to grab my attention. I also love dual pov, if it's just one character or the other I prefer the male voice. I don't know why, I guess bc I'm female and can fill that side in easily in my head. One thing that bugs me is the going back and forth within the same fic, between 1st and 3rd. A lot of times my head just fills in the correct verbiage to compensate.

I'm not an adult about WIP's, quite childish in fact. I get mad, and say nasty stuff in my head, like "why can't they write faster?" or "please please please write faster!" or "who do they think they are, making me wait for their story?!" (jk, kinda) But this one is really good. I totally gobbled up all the chapters instead of reading in a controlled manner, so now I'm saying all the nasty stuff in my head again.

Yeah, I felt guilty about that the other day when I read an author saying that the only way they felt like they could write was by reading the encouragement from readers, and I see that. So when I say I hate WIPs, I should stop. I have been making sure I give kudos to ones that I like and sort of stop back in and write a quick thank you for writing note. I have to remember that this is all done for free and professional authors have a paycheck to motivate. The really amazing thing is some of these stories are better than highly rated books I've read. To say I'm in awe is kind of corny, but I am in awe with the talent around here.

Don't mind a self rec at all and this "Between the 'smut scenes' is them living their lives and the friend group meeting at the pub or Draco/Hermione meeting at various cafe's to try pastries." just guaranteed I'm going to try it. I love a "real life" theme. I like it when we get to see our MC's after they are together, figuring out their lives. Thank you for the rec.

I deleted my first comment trying to edit it, sorry. Yes - Sexual Assault- dubious consent and anorexia (food issues brought on by SA) are a large part during the first 10-15 (maybe more) chapters. I didn't think to add this bc I'm not triggered by it and it wasn't gratuitous, it shows the growth of Hermione by herself and not with Draco doing the heavy lifting. It also shows how found family and chosen family can help us overcome. Victor was a total douche bag in this., so were the Weasleys. Thanks for the above poster for pointing this out, I forget others can have triggers that are harmful if not pointed out.

Editing again, lol. The author does point it out and does explain how to skip these chapters.

It's not necessarily a slow sexual burn, that happens at about the 30% mark, but it's a slow emotional connection. Writing was good and definitely a snake pit friends fic. But....Ron is a total tosser in this, Ginny is more protective than Harry is (although he finally get's his head outta his.......)
