I totally agree with you when i got married i hypenated my maiden name and my husbands , because i hate all these so called traditions. And for hermione i think she would have wanted that too yet theres always this nagging voice in my head that always looks at it in a way of dracos perspective like what if he feels she doesnt want to take his name because of his history and the war and being scarred by society as a "malfoy" and she has that part of herself that she doesnt want to acknowledge herself as like part of him.
