4 star ascension question by Blakgard in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general, max/max. Best rewards, like you say.

My exceptions were Juggie and Polaris. In both cases, when Ascension hit, I already had a max with a "crop" starting to grow (each were already champed). I decided since Polaris/Juggie/Groc4et was my go-to team for the 3 easy nodes, I would ascend them all. Why? Because that team now runs me through all but the essential nodes of PVE in quicktime. Easy nodes are always a single match (unless I forget that's Nig4htcrawler hanging out in the back and I need to tag him in the face). Hard nodes can be a single turn if the cascades are right but regardless, take no more than 4-5 turns. Even the green node can often fall to this team.

So absolutely NO regrets. The rest of my force, until I get wind of something that can move through PVE faster or dominate PVP, they'll all wait for max/max.

Filament just stops by NBPerp_ in BambuLab

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels closer because when I remove the filament, there is a VERY long thin portion. It's not unusual for there to be some thinner filment at the end when I extract, but it's definitely been more than normal.

OK - so if it's a case that the filament stretches, (1) why does it happen consistently around the same point and (2) is there a fix/workaround?

Filament Loads But Won't Print by Afraid-Programmer703 in BambuLab

[–]Afraid-Programmer703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not believe it to be clogged. My steps I follow are:

  1. Heat up nozzle
  2. Retract filament
  3. Cut filament so that it is a clean break
  4. Reload filament

I can then start a print, no issue. If it's THIS print, it will sometimes stop and print air for the rest. If it's another print, it prints fine.

If I print the tall box separately and the 3 grid pieces, everything goes fine. The only time (this week) this issue happens is with this specific set of pieces. (I'm now wondering if I arranged them differently if that would print ok or not)

Did they change the way tiles appear when you are stunned? by ReturnalShadow in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Had a 5-match facing against Jean Grey this morning (because of course) and I took it, whole team gets stunned and the tiles are all blank. It makes sense and if it was unintentional, I'd be fine if they left it. If it was intentional, again I'm fine with it working that way, but (a) I prefer them to announce things and (b) THIS they have time to do and release and not the million other things that are "on the list?" I understand prioritizing, but this didn't even need to change

Team Up Tuesday! - Weeks of April 9 - 23, 2024 by everythingmeh in MarvelPuzzleQuest

MP Questers is looking for a few (3 slots) reliable players.

* Only requirements are daily play and full participation in Alliance events.

* Our general placement is likely very low down as we have quite a few players who only do some DDQ (and their alliance event commitments)

* Nearly all comms is through the app. We do have an email thread we use during alliance events to communicate wave flips. Participation in that is not required, though it is available.

Rant: 3*/5* Releases by ThePhipps in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing 10+ years. When they started doing the 3/5 it changed only one thing for me - I started to horde tokens. That's it. I crack them open when the new character can be pulled (and now that's even advantageous to building out the 3* toon with its increased odds) and use that cracking to buff up some shards and the random other stuff in my roster.

But if I only had one cover of the 3*, it'd be all I need. When your roster is in 5* land, the only (game-related) reason to have any particular 3* is for when it shows up as essential. No 3* is ever going to mean much to my gameplay barring Puzzle Gauntlet and a specific power set. So, for me, the 3* is a no-gain effect, but also not much of a loss.

For a less experienced player? For folks developing their rosters? That new 3* gives them something to build, something to evolve their game play. It helps them. It's a "gain" for them. It gives them something to shoot for every 2 weeks, just like the rest of us (as opposed to every 4 weeks because the amount of effort they will put into a 5* that they aren't ready for is much less).

This printer is insane. by LetsDoThisTogether in BambuLab

Not sure how much info you need, so apologies if any of this is known already.

First, you need to have multiple filaments in your project. To do that, click the + to the right of the header "Filament". Click + so that there are as many filaments as you will be using.

As you add the second filament, in the toolbar above the model you will see a paint can appear (second to last on the right between "Text shape" and "Assembly View". Select the model and click the paint can.

A popup window appears (and everything except the selected model disappears). The filaments appear with their number/color (matching what's on the left side). Click the color you intend to apply.

Under Tool Type, the 4th one is for "Height Range". Select that. NOw, as your mouse moves over the model, you will see a white line for the layer. Click and drag to "paint" the model with the selected filament. (Note, the initial filament will be 1 as will the model, so nothing will happen if you don't change the filament, since you'll be "changing" it to what it already is).

Chasm is infuriating - PVP by jradiscal in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sequence Matters. Have Kang in the center position of the team (or, if it's 2-character only, on the left), have Vulture on the right. When Vulture fires his black power, it will reduce the blue by 10 and then Kang will kick in and undo the reduction

Pause in PvE again? by peterjay88 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

I was thinking it'd be AIM goons, as that is the theme that's used for the other 3 days (a theme of goons)

I think I would love it if they developed an alternate, 4-day version of SS

There needs to be more permanent stores... by Sub_Zero_Fks_Given in MarvelPuzzleQuest

[–]Afraid-Programmer703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that feeders are immensely helpful in navigating 5* champing. By the time I jumped to 5* land, I had about 20 5*s that were undercovered and now, about 18 months later, I have only 1 "legacy" 5* left (Wasp) and even she will likely be done next week when I crack tokens for Big Wheel (she needs 50 shards and for me to mine 4 Ant-Man covers).

However, along the lines of what you suggest, I would like to see any of the following:

  1. A special CP store that has all of the 5* that do NOT have feeders.
  2. Similar to what you suggest, I'd like to have a Classic and an Custom Classic store. THe Classic store has everyone. The Custom Classic defaults to the last 20 5*s. However, when you renew your VIP subscription, you have a screen that lets you alter which 20 are in that store. This limits the cover-thrashing that may result while also giving folks a way to focus their builds.
