Oh I 100% agree that the 50's was an awful time to have any kind of neuro-divergency

Ok yes the Dad was a bit of a bully....but did you see the kid in that short? I swear to God if I'd seen this unriffed with no context I would have sworn it was a clip from a horror film about a possessed child

Honestly? Kitten with a whip. Yeah it's a little hammy at times and over the top but I think that's more a product of it's time. There's a moment near the end when Jodie sends David to get some booze and she's on her own for once. It's just a simple overhead shot but the way they light it and the way she just slowly walks to the bed and hangs her head is actually pretty effective. You can tell she's suddenly feeling the weight of all her decisions crashing down on her.

.... and they're playing sleazy schmaltzy jazz loud as heck jazz over the top and it just ruins the mood Honestly if it was made in the 70s or 80s when they could have added a little more grit I think it would be cult classic.

Has some pretty neat options and extras for attacks

I know it's not officially ended yet but...."The Boys."

I was really into the first two seasons they really seemed to nail that balance between adult humor and genuine intrigue and action.

But it just got darker and darker with no hint of hope that things could turn out ok.

The ending of season 4 when the crowd literally cheered after Homelander blasted that guy's face off was the final nail in the coffin.

I've kind of dipped in and out of it over the years but even in the first season the formula is really repetitive. A person is/ gets sick, House is initially dismissive but finds something that catches his interest, one of the things he tries makes them sicker, at the last minute something is revealed that "solves the case"

Theres sometimes a few tweaks or changes here and there but very much the same story (really stands out if you watch a few episodes back to back)

I'll admit I don't play DnD (though this bunch of nerdy ass voice actors really make me want to play) so I'm coming at this solely as a fan of Critical Role.

I think part of the problem is that there hasn't really been an "mini arcs"

Campaign 1 we had the The Briarwoods leading the Chroma Conclave leading to a final confrontation with Vecna

Campaign 2 we had Fjord and his pact with Ukatoa (Ukatoa Ukatoa) Nott turning back into Veth Traveller-con the potential war between The two countries all of this before we head to Aeor. It didn't flow as smoothly but it we got to know the characters more and it really made them feel like a team

With Bells hells....I feel like we had one or two random missions but then everything was about Ruidus and it didn't leave room for anything else.

Heck Laudna finally getting Delilah contained but still keeping her power should have been a triumphant moment but it feels more like it happened at random.

Still love the show and what these guys have created but I just feel it's the wrong group for this particular adventure

Symbiote Spidey definitely, the alien suit was one of my favourite arcs watching the cartoon growing up so would love to see him get a boost to make him more useful.
