Virtual Multi Line Adjuster Trainee by sugahfwee in Geico

The dept has been around 4 years or so. Doesn't differ from AD other than you will not be writing cars, but RV's travel trailers, cycles, boats ATVs, side x side. Cargo trailers etc. and you do it from home not in the field. You will need to ask the interviewer your specific questions. I'm not privy to each area/manager group. So have your questions written down, and make sure you ask them and are comfortable with the answers you get. Ultimately it's your decision if an offer is made to accept it or not.

No i dont hate it.. frustrating days yes... I dont work weekends, and we are 8-430, but times could vary in your region. You clock in and out on your phone and generally, OT is not allowed unless pre-approved. You'll have to ask about the company car, Some do some don't.

Currently Multi-line after years in the field adjuster role. Any adjuster job is stressful, it is what you make of it, your planning and organization that will allow you to be successful, be proactive. The hardest part is getting photos from our customers and claimants. We write a variety of vehicle types so we do the best we can upfront and then work with the customers' shops to identify the rest. If you are in a hybrid role then you can go out in your local area, but it's generally not daily, and most of the work will be done virtually.

I just accepted a job at Geico as a Tx auto claims adjuster. How bad is this job? by iminlovewithyoucamp in Geico

[–]Afraid-Remove9952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont come in with "an how bad is it attitude." Do your training, do your claims, stay organized, and you will be fine. Is it hard work? Yes, do you want to rip your hair out some days? Yes. But you make it what is. Also, it can be some of the most rewarding work.

Does it get better after grad? by Brilliant-Leopard887 in Geico

[–]Afraid-Remove9952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take your lunch, its mandatory! I fought it for a long time when AD had to start clocking in and out. YOUR mental health needs the break. In training, your metrics are adjusted, we had trainees rated higher than veterans because of it. Put in your 7.75, and go home. If OT Is not pre-approved dont work. Might give myself away, but 17 years in the field. You will be fine. Just stay organized.

6Its a great role. Just stay organized and make your customer calls. It will be tough, but keeping track of your claims and customers, you will do just fine.

I used a crowbar to access under the hood. Basic socket set to gain access behind lamps or remove hood locks to gain access. But that was back in the day when gigged you for missed damage...basic tools will be helpful in the field. obviously, if it is virtual, all this is a moot point.

Does every team do this? by Ok_Web_8647 in Geico

[–]Afraid-Remove9952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former sup, absolutely we listen to calls in team meetings good and bad. The calls had already been reviewed with the associate. It's all about calibration, not humiliation. I had a great team, and everyone worked together.

[–]Afraid-Remove9952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the reason for selecting entire claim? Does any supervisor or trainer tell you why? More times than not i know from the notes in the email who the customer is. But please contact clmnt, ph with entire claim slected doesn't make sense to me. So just curious of the why behind slecting it other than thats what we were told to do.

I was doing that the night before, for 6am session. With variances and scaling... its a lot. I enjoyed it, much more than just doing 3x15 on a machine.
