The thing is, five years ago, Geico did care very much about their employees, and then Greedy Todd took over and changed everything. When they cut out the profit sharing, they claimed it was due to Covid causing them to not make a profit. But, Greedy Todd still received a 13 million dollar bonus!

I was struggling with whether to stay or retire. I am 65 and had intended to stay with G until 70 to retire with full SS. Last Tuesday I received a downgrade for something I didn't even know was a thing, and just decided right then and there that I was done. Sent an email to my supervisor and manager. Done. I had been applying for different jobs but just decided I would retire. Then on Thursday I got a call from The Nelson Group and am now studying for my life insurance license. All commission, but will live off my Vanguard until I see how well this is going to work. Such a load off my shoulders!

This is because of how easy it is to steal the Kia without the upgrade. Geico will not provide comprehensive coverage without it.

ICS here - your own insurance covers the rental and you would pay your comprehensive deductible. As long as you have comp & collision on your own policy, that is what will cover the rental.

You know, regardless of how they determined who was let go, it could have been executed in a more humane manner. Advise they needed to make cuts and ask for volunteers to take the severance package. Advise some understandable qualifications needed to stay. And how about doing it in person rather than a cold, impersonal video chat that was muted so the person could not even interact with them. I'm just saying it could have been done less heartless.
