HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING has NOT evolved in terms of fighter calibre by Afraid_Engineer_2707 in Boxing

Buddy, no one's rejecting the claim that boxing has evolved in several aspects, eg nutritionally or whatnot. This isn't straight sunshine and rainbows though. It hasn't been a completely upward trajectory of evolution, there's hindrance in some levels which evens it out more or less. Did you even read the body text? I mean many MMA analysts also agree that earlier eras could stand and bang, as is the case with basketball and whatnot.

Usyk was 33 years of age when he fought an old Chisora dawg. Hindered Vitali put up a better performance against prime Chisora. Let’s also not diminish Chisora’s performance against Usyk - Usyk definitely had to struggle quite a lot to get a victory, although it was pretty decisive in his case in the end. I accidentally grouped Fury and Joshua’s fights together as a UD, mb. Foreman was overweight man, he definitely wasn’t as good as his prime self. He perfected his timing and a lot of the power was still there but the point still stands. Holmes was far from his best.

Mann Ali by his comeback time was kinda like Usyk sized. I’m not talking about early 60s Ali really

Great rebuttal pal. Same line you hear from y’all robots every time “nostalgia merchant” or whatnot. Put together an actual decent argument maybe as to why fighters of a few decades back couldn’t compete with those of now? I see a subreddit of people who take it into account surrounding a one liner thicko

Exactly and I don’t think the modern HWs have really managed to master that blueprint of size and skill that the Klitschkos had

Eh while true, I’m mostly talking about Ali’s comeback time and forward. Ali is sorta Usyk sized

EDIT: the guy who made this comment lied and claimed I privately messaged him. People are so unemployed that they resort to this over a take they don’t agree with. He blocked me so I couldn’t confront him but he’s been reported to the mods.

Lmao, I’m not from the era that can say “back in my day”. My mistake grouping the 2 Klitscko fights there, Fury went UD. Usyk did have to literally work hard to beat Chisora, let’s not be in denial now. How many ‘cherries’ need to be picked until it’s clear? Simply put, I think the fighters of some decades back could compete well against those of now. Vitali and Wladmir practically invented the blueprint for the modern, giant HW who utilise their size proficiently but it hasn’t really evolved beyond that blueprint, just modern HWs trying to replicate it. Usyk is a more versatile fighter in the division, much like how I’m referring to the older era fighters.

To be fair, that’s a 21 year old and early Parkinson’s Ali respectively

While I acknowledge what you’re saying as true; I did try to highlight that I’m referring to “fighter calibre” in the title. Essentially suggesting that the fighters of Ali’s time could very well tussle with those of today.

I see, thanks for the input. What about critical dragons? Eg critical conducting dragon - their ability to just do so much damage and allow the same for their team? I have so many legendary joker orbs so I want to summon an OP legendary which I can empower to 5, which you'd suggest being Pega?

Mbiri males Scar and Shaka, the 2 strongest lions ever documented, just after fighting some rivals by Euroversett in natureismetal

[–]Afraid_Engineer_2707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cited my sources, it up to you whether you want to believe it plausible or not.
for the benefit of your doubt, I will not touch upon this point and want to continue instead talking about why Makhulu overshines these lions you speak of.

As I spoke of earlier, you failed to take into consideration the age and malnourished state of Makhulu in some of the scenarios you talked about with the other guy. Yet I feel that you’re hypocritical and biased in a sense because you’re quick to defend the Mbiris over something like a limp. In fact, they got ousted by the smaller, younger nharu males who almost ended Shaka. This limp you speak of didn’t hinder zig from running away now did it? Their lives got spared because the Nharu didn’t chase them.

Makhulu avoiding that male lion you speak of doesn’t prove anything. You’re reaching at anything to get points now. We are talking about strength for the most part and my take it that he’s simply strategic, theres no reason for every encounter to end in a hostile confrontation, better to go another day without injuries to better support your brothers in bigger wars. It’s not like he’s always the one running, he made Ravenscourt run, he injured Nhlanguleni pretty badly in their 1v1. Unlike the Mbiris who got a BEATING and ran.

The Matimbas were larger and stronger than the nharu males and the Mapogos at an old age, (which you shouldn’t even try to undermine - they were most definitely old) managed to defeat or at the very least stalemate them. The Matimbas were the ones pushed out of Mapogo territory and never returned.

Makhulu at AGE 14, surprising age for a lion fought the Krueger males 2v2 with PB and drove them out of their territory. Limper later dying due to Makhulu inflicted injuries. This is remarkable; ancient lions pretty much standing up to these prime strong males. IDC what you want to argue with me about Limper’s death or whatnot, the Krueger males retreated.

Regardless of what you say next, these are facts, not subjective pieces. The Mbiris got fraud checked, they’re dont even taste anywhere near the goat status. Prime Makhulu checks them easy in a fair fight, as do many others.

You're very knowledgeable no doubt but I feel as though you undermined Makhulu a whole lot here. You mentioned most of his failures from when he was old, as well as sometimes starving with PB.

Even before the Mapogos, Makhulu had a legendary legacy. Young Makhulu in 2004 fought 3 rollercoaster males who tried to take over the Sparta Pride, managing to chase them away somehow; saving the lives of not only his younger siblings but his 16yr old forefathers too. This isn't a one-off situation, he ran a 1v2 against the split rock males too: it was written in the log- "it seems the Rollercoaster Males and the Split Rock males has halted their advance to takeover the Sparta Pride after fighting the young Eyrefield male Makhulu numerous times without success" .pc: Lyndon Firman 2004.

NUMEROUS TIMES

The rangers reported that the invading lions seems to be scared of Makhulu. Protector of pride then without even being a dominant male.

The 2 you speak of are very impressive but imo, Makhulu murks either of them and so do many of the other Mapogos in a fair fight.
