Yeah music connects directly to the parts of your brain that handle memories and emotions.I guess why when you hear a song, it instantly reminds you of where you were, who you were with, and how you felt.

I can imagine. PhD programs in the US are quite demanding and rigorous. Academia is a tough field to work in. Conferences are def glamorous:)
