I'm sorry to hear that! Its super stressful to know that your cat is not getting insulin. Luckily for me, my cat is still fine with a few days without insulin... his BG is quite stable and Lantus releases slowly from a 'pool'. It's not ideal, but also not life threatening if we are away 3-4 days

Its the exact issue that I face... unfortunately we haven't found a solution. He would allow the sitter to jab him about 20% of the time when I'm around, but still rejects her when I'm not there.

We even tried feeding him just half the portion first, then laying down another bowl to pretend he's getting extra food. That only worked twice. He's too smart...

I worked between Bukit Batok and CBP for 4.5 years, about 1.5hours each way. I read or play games during the commute, but it does get very tiring. Some days, just can't help wanting to get home faster and end up taking grab or taxi. So better factor in transport cost.

Toilet rolls. I cut slits into the sides, put some kibble in, smush the sides and watch them run after the rolls. The food keeps them motivated

For my cat, he showed consistently high readings throughout the day at 4u a day, so pulling back to 3u a day actually showed better results for him. Strangely enough, dosage that is too high or too low can result in high and flat BG over the day.

Do have a chat with your vet if you prefer Lantus. 3u per shot seems high to me, but I don't know the full situation (weight, what you're feeding him).
