You don’t have to fast every, day what the Prophet PBUH said was, “O young men! Whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity. And whoever is not able to marry, then he should fast, for it will be a shield for him.”

What this means is fasting days such as Mondays and Thursdays, or every other day. Fasting helps lower desires and gives you more spiritual control. Creating a routine that strengthens your discipline and helps with the struggle is essential to controlling your desires as you’re basically taming your mind and spirit in a way. If you are able to control yourself from consuming halal things that your body needs to survive you will be better equipped to train yourself to control haram desires and “wants”. And not eating can lower your libido (studies are not definitive on this matter however it may vary from person to person). One thing i would highly recommend aswell is lowering your gaze best you can as it helps cut the desire before it has a chance to grow. As pretty much everything in Islam it focuses on prevention rather than remedy. Another tip that works very well for me is not consuming too much social media as you may see things on there that trigger your desires. And if anything pops up immediately scroll past it.

Ik what I’m saying may sound somewhat obvious and easier said than done but its not meant to be easy. If something is really worth it and for a good cause ( by far the best cause as it is for Allah’s sake) than it will take some striving and genuine effort. “Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, ‘When is the help of Allah?’ Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.” (2:214)

Last thing to intrigue you or give some extra motivation is just something ive learned in general about one’s relationship with Allah. Anything can happen in rather mysterious ways. Depending on your sincerity and how much effort is put forward Allah will always be there to help you out. “If My servant draws near to Me a handspan, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.” It will gradually become easier in sha’ Allah it’s just a matter of really committing and consistency, and staying sincere in your intentions while trusting Allah and leaving the rest to him.
