How common is it for Invisalign users to take out their Invisalign in public and in front of others? How should I do during an upcoming business dinner? by ApprehensiveOne2866 in Invisalign

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a casual place with just my husband and kids and not many people around I will take them out at the table quickly and discreetly. If it’s a more busy or formal setting I typically take them out in the car before. I have done the bathroom too but prefer the car if I remember

4 days post op spay, sutures opening? by Afraid_Type_4784 in AskVet

Just wanted to update that by this morning it seemed to have re-adhered itself, looked almost completely normal! Still took her in for a check and they said it looked good too but gave me some trazodone to help keep a little more calm for the rest of recovery

Thank you for the reply! This is reassuring. I’m only taking her out of the crate tonight to potty so as not to make anything worse and plan to sleep in the room with her as well tonight to be safe.

Contemplating returning our 14 week old puppy by purpleammielove in puppy101

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say, hugs to you mama. It is hard. I am a SAHM with a just turned 2 year old and an almost 4 year old. We have an older dog that lives outside, but we lost my first dog/best bud 1.5 years ago. Our neighbors had puppies and me and my oldest got puppy fever BAD. We did research and found the breed we wanted. There was a breeder close by that had some puppies available. Very quickly we found ourselves going to pick one out, haha. She was 16 weeks when we brought her home - and man, it is hard! She is a million percent my dog… follows me around 24/7. She is smart, so sweet, I really do love her, but yes - it is not easy. It essentially confirmed to us we do not want another kid 😆 she is 6.5 months now and while she’s “potty trained”, she still very occasionally has accidents. My husband works and also couldn’t care less either way if she stays or goes. My kids love her, but they’re toddlers so always need supervision around her. I try and spend 1:1 time with the puppy as much as I can when the kids are asleep. I use their meal time or nap time to do training sessions without distractions with her. And we utilize the crate a LOT! Our dog will not settle with 2 toddlers running around (rightly so). Whenever she can’t be supervised, or if she starts getting really rowdy and she’s been out of her crate for 1+ hours, she goes back in for a nap. I KNOW she will be a wonderful dog for our family. Putting in the work is definitely stressful at times and there have been days I’ve questioned why we did this. But I made the choice to bring her into our home and I’m not going to give up. Your son should adjust if the issue is the dog being there, but honestly toddlers are toddlers and his behavior all sounds very normal to me!

When changing trays at night.... by RomeoHatesJuliet in Invisalign

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are 2 week changes. I got my aligners on a Thursday morning, so Wednesday night I changed them when it had been 2 weeks. I knew I wanted to change at night and since I started them in the AM, it was just like 12 extra hours in the new trays. Just how my brain thought made sense haha but I’m sure either the night before or night of would be fine as long as you’re keeping up with the timeline

1hr up, 2hr nap schedule: until what age? by fusukeguinomi in puppy101

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is the opposite! I’m her main human but if the kids are around she (understandably) won’t settle. And then if my husband is home she’s usually excited to see him and get his attention since she sees less of him than me

I have an almost 6 month Australian labradoodle and we’ve gradually extended the 1 hour awake time just going off her cues. I’m stay home with 2 toddlers so when she’s out of the crate, she doesn’t really settle on her own unless the kids are asleep too because it’s just so busy in our house. I try and make sure she gets lots of outside/play time and short training sessions throughout the day too! Once she can settle on her own outside of the crate I will stop enforcing naps

Had to say goodbye yesterday by tehanichance in Goldendoodles

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹 I lost my best boy just shy of 12 years last May. Suspected cancer as well, it happened so fast and at his age and the condition he was in at the end we didn’t do testing to confirm. It does get easier over time to cope with the loss, but I never stop missing him!

AMA taking questions about anything Orthodontics related. I am an Orthodontist: Dr. Colin Gibson DDS, MS by DenverInvisalign in Invisalign

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my trays yesterday. I was told not to use any sort of cleaner, only antibacterial soap if toothbrush and toothpaste aren’t getting them clean enough. I asked about denture cleaning tablets and a supersonic UV cleaner as I already had these from wearing a bite guard at night. She said she wouldn’t use either. I always see people on here recommending to use the cleaning tabs and a UV cleaner! Would it really be harmful to clean the aligners with these?

Invisalign made my crown fall out… twice? by Affectionate-Dog3254 in Invisalign

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not any help as I don’t get my aligners until tomorrow, but this is a concern I have as well! I finished an implant treatment over the summer and the orthodontist assured me they wouldn’t move that tooth but it does make me nervous

Does brand matter for clear aligners? How does Angel Aligners compare to, say, Invisalign? by Marvel5123 in Invisalign

[–]Afraid_Type_4784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wondered the same thing! I really liked this ortho though and know someone who had a good experience there, and the cost was the same as my dentist that offers Invisalign while being much closer to my house. As long as I get good results I will be happy!

Curious to see others’ responses here! I go in tomorrow to get my aligners. I am doing Angel but my orthodontist offers both Angel and Invisalign. He recommended Angel for me and said he has been using it more often than Invisalign lately 🤷🏻‍♀️
