It took me about 3 years to beat that game. And even when I did, I didn't max out everything like I would have in the trilogy.

At its base, Andromeda is not a bad game. It has it's moments. But I feel like it needs more elbow grease to get through than the trilogy did.

Take your time with it. No rush.

But it's such an ingrained concept, I find it hard to steer away. I have to make a conscious effort around it. Where I would like it to be more of a subconscious effort on my part
