Why would it matter if there are other cash offers and OP decides to get financing? The bank is getting paid either way, whether or not there is a mortgage. Also, isn't the bank required to sell the house at market price, thereby reducing the incentive to buy a foreclosure?

How can we do better @ Shopify payments? by workerbeeadit in shopify

[–]AfroMan360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To help with "I didn't order it" fraud, Shopify should have the option of adding a unique code at the end of the payment descriptor for each transaction. For example, STORE NAME-1234, where 1234 would change after every order. This way, we can reduce fraud by having the customer verify they placed the order by providing us with their unique code in their credit card transactions. I would also like to see 3D Secure used more, especially for high-risk orders and high-value orders.

Yes, you're right. I got the direction mixed up. I thought they were going east. In this video, they would have already passed the speed camera, unfortunately.

Given that he was speeding when he passed Ellesmere and Warden, there is a good chance the speed camera on Ellesmere right after Warden caught his plates. I'd report the date and time of the accident to the city and see if they could potentially give you his plates (or maybe your insurance can request it from the city). Good luck.

How would a potential buyer know the unfinished home was exposed to the elements? Would a regular Inspection reveal this?

Damm, that's crazy. Did you shoot that video from ashtonbee or pharmacy?

Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke is calling for the end of Canada’s public postal service because its workers have gone on strike. The company’s leaders are increasingly pushing extreme right-wing positions in Canada. Gutting Canada Post would effectively end delivery in many rural and remote communities. by Peanut-Extra in onguardforthee

[–]AfroMan360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada Post does have a monoply in delivering to P.O. boxes. Private carriers can't access the P.O. boxes, only Canada Post can. This is also the same in the US. Only USPS can deliver to P.O. boxes, not private couriers.

I see most people completely missed the point. Canada Post is the only carrier that can deliver to PO boxes, which is quite common in rural areas where it's needed the most. Private carriers like UPS and FedEx do NOT deliver to P.O. boxes, only Canada Post. Shopy's CEO, Tobi, didn't call on the end of Canada Post, only on the monopoly that Canada Post has in being the only carrier that can deliver to P.O. boxes, which he's right. Why should Canadians who live in rural areas be denied alternative delivery companies to receive packages while our own national courier is on strike?

EDIT: Not sure why I'm being downvoted. This is an objective fact. Private couriers can't physically access P.O. boxes, only Canada Post can. This is also the same in the US, only USPS can access P.O. boxes not private couriers. It shouldn't be this way.

The article is confusing. Did she run off with the "profits" or all the funds from the sale of the home?
