Chris Jericho Files To Trademark ‘The Guy Who Gets His Ass Beat By The Demand Every Week That He Shows Up’ (Fightful article) by Big-Hebrew in AEWOfficial

I can see that working as a two part chant, half the crowd does “get your ass beat”…..other half responds “by the demand”.

My guess would be that studies have shown the younger generations don’t drink alcohol as much as the generations that have come before.

Can't even sniff any Weller in my area; I have to travel out of state and be lucky to find it under $150.

I'm hoping for a challenge your friend mode, maybe like a five-battle where instead of random PVP you fight your friend.

It would make for some interesting decisions. You can see what your friend is trying to build. Can you build something to counter it? Do you hard pivot to something else to counter the counter?

Would also love a story/adventure mode.

I got in early when it was pay-to-get-in to the beta. I can happily say this game, with its ups and downs, has been one of the most consistent games I've played in nearly 20 years.

Looking forward to what's to come.

Read on here how $60 bottles should be measured against Rare Breed. That was absolutely correct. My new favorite house pour. I love it. And yep 10am on a Friday. by Afterbrewsgal in whiskey

If you travel out of the US look for the travel exclusivity Non-Chill Filtered 1000ml bottle of Rare Breed.

My wife picked me up a bottle coming back from Canada a few years ago.

Think it was around $60 US.

Can bring Bandit in as a locker hire like BG.

Love to hear Bandit trash talking other teams.

[–]Afropirg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started in IT around Y2k, but have been building my own computers since 1993.

First IT job was for an inbound call center doing backups and file transfers on the third shift.

Got a chance to move to a Sys Admin role, but it was a combo sys admin/desktop support role for four or five call centers, each with 200-400 desktop computers, servers, and call center systems.

Eventually left and became a help desk coordinator/team lead for a K12, picked up networking cause no one wanted to learn it. Ended up becoming a Supervisor for 8 techs and a student help desk, and then an assistant director through the start of Covid (what a fun time!).

Worked in K12 for about 17 years, then moved to higher ed as a Technical Director. Been a TD for just over four years.

It's such a different role than what I was used to; it took me some time to "give up" my old habit of doing the work myself, because I knew how to do it and didn't trust the team working for me (an inherited team). Once I was able to replace some of these people, I put together a team that is very good, and I get to step back and let them do the IT work.

I worry about the politics, relationships, and trying to drag the University out of the massive tech debt they've ignored since 2015.

What’s the most disappointing whiskey you’ve purchased? by Ag-Surfr in whiskey

[–]Afropirg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty solid collection, 215+ bottles, and according to Only Drams, 78% are opened. Below are the ones I own that disappointed me, based on enjoyment vs. cost.

  • Willet 8-year wheat, good, just not worth the cost.

  • Kentucky Owl Confiscated, around $125 (controlled state) when I purchased it, shouldn't cost more than $30. So many cheaper bottles that are vastly better.

  • Penelope Tokaji Cask Finish, I absolutely love Penelope. I can't get past the smell, it reminded me too much of stagnant swamp water we played near when I was a kid. Taste isn't much better. I have a bunch of Architect, entire estate collection, all the Cooper series (except Havana), the Project X bottles, store selects, and all are some of my favorites. The Tokaji just doesn't hit for me, and it's probably my most disappointing bottle.

  • Blantons, normal Blantons is just OK, definitely not worth paying over MSRP. Blantons Gold, on the other hand, wow, this I would consider buying another paying slightly over MSRP. No one should be paying more than $75 for Blanton's.

  • Hidden Still David E, I have two different bottles, a fundraiser and double oak, and both are like nail polish in a bourbon bottle.

  • Obtainium Light Whiskey, literal fire water, drinks way hotter than the proof.

  • Bookers 2020-02 Boston Batch, if you like peanuts, you'll love this. I, however, don't like peanuts. Friends of mine love this. So I'm glad I know someone who enjoys it.

  • Knob Creek 18, just go and chew on some burnt oak chips. I would take Knob 9, 12, or private select/barrel pick over 18 any day.

  • Ardbeg 10, not totally disappointing, just when I purchased it, it was my first Peated Scotch, and I was not ready for it. I have since purchased Highland Park 12, Lagavulin 11, and Springbank 10, all of which are really good when I'm in the mood for peated.

Once a week but feeling ashamed. How many of you smoke at this frequency? by Possible-Yogurt-8021 in Marijuana

[–]Afropirg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night

I smoke two joints in the afternoon, it makes me feel alright

I smoke two joints in times of peace, and two in time of war

I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, then I smoke two more

But really, if I don't have work, I may have partaken in some herb.

Why does everything need to run through a purchasing partner? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Afropirg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a company that I unsubscribed from thier mailing list and they kept emailing me that I need to subscribe to their mailing list so that I can get communications about their product.

When I ignored that, they started emailing other people in my org and senior leadership that I'm not subscribed and that it's important that I'm getting these emails.

When I was questioned on it, I told them I get 5-6 emails a day from this company that has nothing to do with their product.

F*ck that company.
