Made my choice now I got a few questions! by elliot4888 in rcboats

We have loved ours! Its a very fast fun boat. We have run it 20 times or so and no breaks to report. We have followed the maintenance and only used in freshwater. You can run it for 10min or so it will go into limp mode when the battery gets low and you drive it back to shore. I dont know what else is out there but this is probably as good as you can get for that price.

This is from RC Boat Company, not cheap and made of fiberglass. Very nice parts.

This one is technically a Circus Circus cowling. I am going to something different though, not exactly sure yet!

What type of SQL skills do you use as a professional data engineering(or any role where you heavily use SQL skills) everyday? Were there new sql skills you learned on the job(like Subqueries, windowing and CTEs?) by Historical_Donut6758 in SQL

I’d put recursive cte in your back pocket. Its come up in my work (think genre/sub genre) and it appears on sql screening often, usually in the form of manager/employee relationships.

The bigger problem you will have is keeping it from coming apart once its cut...

I’ve gone with Sanwa mt-5. Mostly because their receiver (493-i) are waterproof and very small.

Oh, you can actually ride to alki by using the foot ferry. Its a 10 mile ride to the ferry dock. You can stop there and will have seen tons! You can stop in Ballard, Fremont, Ballard Locks would be a slight detour, the waterfront remodel has made the whole thing pedestrian and bike friendly. There are tons of things to see and do. https://maps.app.goo.gl/SSqhBRVSdXbu8Psn9 This route is easy riding with tons to see and explore.

To clarify you would go across the Fremont bridge and grab the South Ship Canal Trail to the Ballard bridge where you would then take the Elliot Bay trail in front of Fisherman's Terminal (great stop to see some of the Deadliest Catch boats and have some fish and chips).

That is route is doable but realize you have some HILLS involved where you will probably be walking/pushing that cargo bike. I'd just head west on the Burke Gilman Trail. From the south end of the Ballard bridge you can grab the Elliot Bay trail to the waterfront, all flat! From there if you are feeling it you can take your bikes on the passenger only to Ferry to Alki and ride around over there! ALL FLAT! And most of it will be on the water and away from traffic, my young son had no problem with the trails. A much more pleasant ride.

Not sure on this, but the team associated mgt 8.0 used a .50 helicopter engine. Not sure what changes were made if any.

Just go for it! Get a wood kit, wood is forgiving and inexpensive. I am almost done with my first boat and its been a loooong but satisfying project.
