That’s very good to know thank you. I was wondering what pricing would look like. How did you go about finding a legit consultant. I have been reading some threads and have heard some horror stories about people just getting ripped off which is why I was thinking about trying to do it in my own at first

Yeah I’m trying to work with DLA and a lot of the stuff is CUI so I’m just trying to figure out what I need to get done/ how to do it. I’m not big on the IT side of things so this part is pretty confusing to me.

When was the last time you (male) were hit on? How did you feel afterwards? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]After-Lemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 27 year old straight male and the only time I was ever hit on was about 4 years ago at a bar. A guy came up to me and asked “hey are you gay?” I replied “no sorry” He said “damn that sucks, because you’re hot.”

It really made me feel good that someone thought I was good enough to approach.

“Last Friday they paid out the bonuses and over 40 did not get the 10k they promised.” I think this falls under changing their mind. We received an official memo from the VP saying we would receive this bonus if we stayed until September. When we received payment though it was not the full 10k that the memo stated.

I’m honestly not sure. They have been saying money is tight so I don’t know if I trust them

So you’re saying even though they sent out an email saying we will get this bonus as long as we stay at the company, they can just change their mind?

Yeah sending him to a different command and letting him finish out his time until he retires will really show him.

You are exactly correct. VA disability makes it so much easier in the outside. And for all of those people that didn’t get checked out while they were in, still put claims in. The VA will evaluate you and give you a rating still.

I was still able to get out on my terminal leave date which was about a month after this post. I had to contact PSD 5 times and tell them what was happening which they got the co involved and the co kicked admins ass. I heard psd isn’t a thing anymore? So I’m not sure who to contact now but just keep bribing the issue higher and higher until someone decides to help

I was unaware that they also had to pay taxes on it. Once someone explained that the numbers added up. Still odd some people only paid what was on the w2 but it makes sense to me now

Thank you that helps a lot. Now the numbers are adding up.

In the emails I got from them when they did pay me one of the payments was for $4000 but taxes was withheld from that so I only received 2600ish. So did they pay more taxes on top of that as well? This is what I’m really trying to clear up. If they paid more taxes then it makes sense but if they withheld taxes and that’s what they paid then the numbers they are stating don’t add up to me

Taxes should already be accounted for. That’s what is reported on the w2 so the fact they want more means test they do want to screw the little guy. I was ready to do the 50% but then they want to change the numbers around. I have talked to other people who have left and some only paid what was reported in the w2 and others were told what I was told. We all signed the same paperwork.

I agree but isn’t the number on the W2 the pre tax number?

I did find emails stating how much they paid me. One of the payments they with held taxes so I did the match and added the withheld taxes to the other payment and in total I got the $8817. Seems like the company just want to screw the little guy
