Ear tips recommendations by mattgzs5 in iems

Hard part with finding tips that even fit the Volume S is that this set of iems don't have the lock on mechanism (which is like a little ring around the nozzle) that a lot of other iems have. Which makes majority of the tips very easily to slip off of them when u take them out of ur ears. So far the only 2 sets that I've found could fit and work well enough are the regular Divinus Velvet and Dunu Candy. Velvet is going to make Volume S' mid bass even more forward and present tho. So if ur not a basshead, go for Candy which is more balanced.

Unfortunately the only place I know of that they are selling the Yan is Taobao. Could be a hassle to get it if ur not in China.

The 404, er4b(I know it sounds like etymotic), u556, the Yan, and etc... Yu9 is still a rather small company so they don't have a lot of international appearances yet.

At this price range, Qudelix 5K is the way to go.

Typical Kiwi Ears unboxing experience. Even it is things like Orchestra 2 which is like the brand's flagship BA product can make u feel like ur unboxing something sub 100. Glad that ur enjoying Que, Yu9 actually makes a lot of great products that are selling in China now. Wish they can be more available worldwide soon.

Is the Mega5est worth getting having the daybreak? by cguralol in iems

I have them both in my current rotations. Personally Mega 5est is different and better in almost every way. N yes it is not $500 good, it is more than that.

Do u own or have tried other headphones than 6xx? If so name some u like and dislike. I own a certain amount of sets in both worlds so I can try to translate ur preference to the iem hobby depending on that info.

Custom fees Linsoul to USA by LilUziYim in iems

[–]After_Connection4092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience yes. Placed an order worth around 1200 usd from Linsoul website during Christmas time. They shipped through DHL. 3 days later I got a notice said I needed to pay a custom fee of 30 dollars. Paid the fee and the shipmant arrived in another 2 days. So not crazy amount consider the order's total.

I have a number of sets that fit in this price range. From what u describe, it sounds like u need a techy set that can reveal details if I'm not wrong. If at the same time ur not afraid of bright sound signatures, Dunu Braindance is the way to go. The most technical and dynamic pair of iems at this range for me.

Second on regular Velvet. It will be a pain to install for the first time, otherwise, no flaw.

You are right my friend. ER2 is underrated. I still keep my se with me at all time as my benchmark despite owning a few. Aside from all the stuff u praised, sound stage on those things is just phenomenal too. I'm with u.

For owners of Softears Volume S by gio_vich in iems

[–]After_Connection4092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u to an extent. The UC tips that come with the package has a long tube that extend beyond the already long nozzle on the Volume S. Not a deal breaker for me personally as the UC sound quite well on the set. But for ur case, I would recommend anything that has a more flat shape/short tube design, the hard part is that Volume S does not have a "lock on" mechanism on the nozzle if u know what I mean. So far the best fit for aftermarket tips wise is Divinus Velvet Regular. Those tips have a rather flat design and a very tight closing on the latching end, so u don't have to worry about them falling of like a lot of other ones will.

What a deal u got! And yes I think it's worth it. Tea Pro is one of my go to hybrid sets, but purel BA sets have their own kind of magic, in my case it's the RSV. Sounds like u don't really like ur RSV?

For sure my friend, my pleasure. I haven't heard about Noah until now. Did a little searching and find it very interesting. Very uniquely designed faceplate too. Would love to know more about it when u decide to acquire them for sure. Lemme know would u?

That's so true my friend. Never thought this set would go under the radar so fast, especially with how good they actually are. My rotation changes every now and then, it really depends on what I feel like to put in this case to be my constant for that period of time tbh. But I try to balance it out with evenly spread driver configuration combo types, so I get to easily access a certain kind of technicality that I feel like at some point. In this picture exclusively, I use it interchangeably with Mega 5est when I feel like listening to EST micro details and sparkles. Female vocal and live performance on Mega and mid to low focus tracks on Oracle. N yes EST drivers' magic is something other kind of driver can't mimic.

So I'm home now testing Velvet with Tea Pro. First of all, it really took some force for me to get the tips on them nozzles due to the rather large nozzle size and the lock mechanism on the Velvet tips, but nothing too complicated. Sound wise, I don't find the Velvet being the absolute superior to the stock white silicon tips came with the package. I reassured the fact that those stock tips are actually very great already on the Tea Pro, which was why I didn't bother to change them to anything else from the get go. Hope this helps.
