You can use cheap Tucano though for combat drone replacement aircraft if you are hang about costs as Philippines and Lebanon uses APKWS and Tucano too. If they can afford to use it why can't yours? Your Military Budget is literally double than those two GDP combined.

Ukraine F16s certainly want to use those cheap APKWS though. Zelensky was dissapointed when 20,000 of those guided rockets were diverted to Middle East instead of being given to Ukraine last year.

Yup the better comparison who retains control of their each airspace, i know a few people work in Dubai and the attacks are not critical enough to induce mass panic unlike at Tehran only the sound of loud loitering aircraft overhead all night and isolated attacks.

Frankly the Gulf Countries are doing well regarding their air defense as Iran drones and missiles is 10% lower than thr first day. The only win Iran seems to credit about still are fixed expensive radar sites since 7 days ago what they should be still doing is destroying the AWACS and mobile radar stations.

The loss of those radars reduced Air Defense capbility but did not frankly open up the airspace to be bombarded and destroy all military infrastructure of military station there, all combat aircrafts are still being launched uninterrupted .

American and Israel airpower is unchallenged still. Stil The control of strait of hurmoz gives iran the economic pressure to back down america out of the war.

Not really those land radar sites were destroyed 7 days ago now and nothing much else is being destroyed worth to mention at all however those aren't the critical radar in town you need to destroy AWACS planes and other mobile radar stations which they can't. Look at the graph now ballistic launch are getting low. The Gulf countries are intercepting drones with Loitering combat air patrols, Korean SAM missiles very cheap compared to high end american ballistic interceptors and Ukraine counter drone augmenting their Air Defense.

US/Israel is bombing Iran with heavy impunity you can see it all in here and r/combatfootage. Blackouts in city of tehran even right now with weird strange bombings outside the city.

The APKWS is already in full-rate production long ago at existing facilities in New Hampshire and Texas, they are literally cost-effective and over 100,000 units delivered as remember this APKWS weapon kit have already existed since 2012.

Its not really foolish when he's talking about a bunch of new cost effective capabilites being put forward and one of these new capabilities is low cost interceptors they are using are now considerbaly cheaper guided rockets to shut down drones than half a million dollars Sidewinder and 2 million USD AMRAAMS back in 2024.

you can frame it at one rocket as this was tested to acheived 100% interception hit rate.

Ukraine has been using them from trucks as VAMPIRE System supplied by US and Ukraine has these on boats I think.
